Now that I've had some time to think of it, I think that I really need to strengthen my knowledge of the basics of Chemistry, particularly organic Chemistry. I also think I should do more questions because perhaps I need to practice my approaches more. Another frustrating thing is that my percentile for this was around 85th, and I got 1 score less than March, but in March I got around 75th percentile. So I don't know what that means, but nonetheless, I need to fix it up.
Thank you!
Scores wise it really means nothing, because they take your scores raw, without really worrying about the percentile people achieve. There are a couple of explanations though. Perhaps you actually improved and this was just a harder test, hence the shift in percentile and not raw score. The other option is that the cohort changed. As you can imagine, the average person who does GAMSAT in September is likely to be systematically different to the average person who does GAMSAT in March...so it could very well be that you achieved the same score but a better percentile not because the test was harder but because those who took GAMSAT in September were, on average, a poorer cohort (as far as GAMSAT is concerned) than those who took it in March.
TL;DR: who knows?
Honestly though, you'll get there eventually. I know this is really, really rough. It's meant to be. Med is hard and getting in is just as hard too. But you've always had a really good attitude towards it and always try your guts out, and as far as I'm concerned, that's exactly what you need to get in. So keep going (Y)
