Is anyone having the same problem as me logging into the special exam timetable? It says my details aren't in the database but on my results my subject has a S on it which means I've been granted a special exam?
Yeah, I'm having the same issue. Decided to wait until 5pm bc they mentioned something about it but still no luck.

Edit: Now it says "Sorry, your personal timetable was not found." fsr

The student portal says the exam timetable is now available.

But now the message below appears instead:

'Sorry, your personal timetable was not found.'

Is anyone else having the same issue?

Yeah, I'm having the same issue. Decided to wait until 5pm bc they mentioned something about it but still no luck.

Edit: Just realised you said the same thing!

same issue for me! looks like they stuffed up this year lol

ALSO the policy in regards to rejecting special exams has been updated. You need to fill out a form if you're declining the special exam

Still no personalised timetable as of yet for me, still getting the "Sorry, your personal timetable was not found".

Also spoke to stop 1earlier, turns out this is a university wide issue that they're aware of and trying to fix. They said to check back tonight and possibly tomorrow morning for the personalised timetable. In the mean time they also said to use this link to check: https://exams.unimelb.edu.au/timetable/login.php

Hey, I'm doing biom20001 as well. I'm 99% sure the progression exam is a combined exam if you failed the subject (45-49%) but you've been offered a progession supplementary exam in order to continue on with credit towards MCB. It is a pass/fail exam so if you pass the exam, you pass the subject. You would be doing this if you didn't get awarded special consideration but failed the subject by a marginal amount. So instead of sitting Paper A and Paper B again, you'd be doing this.

Alternatively, if you've been awarded special consideration, then you sit the Paper A and Paper B exams separately and you get a mark for the subject based on your performance in these (as opposed to being pass/fail). This is the same boat that I am in.

Hope this clarifies; have a nice day.

To those that have done BIOM20002, is it as content heavy as BIOM20001? Just want to get a feel of what I'm in for next semester as I feel like I struggled a lot trying to keep up with mcb.

Nah, it's a lot less full on than MCB. It's still a big effort and there's still a lot of content to wrap your head around, but I don't think it's quite as detailed as MCB. Most people found HSF a lot easier to manage and enjoyed it more. Personally, I had the opposite experience, but that's more to do with personal preference—HSF was still easier, I just found MCB more interesting and more rewarding.

Would anyone happen to have a PDF copy of the calculus 1 questions booklet that they could send me? I have a special exam on Tuesday and the LMS has been updated and stupidly I didn't download a copy of the final booklet.

I believe I've seen a kettle in the FFB, in the room outside / next to the Gublin library. Also, would totally recommend the underground part of Melbourne School of Design library if you can get a seat :P otherwise, there's heaps of space on level 2 and above in MSD, but it's a bit louder unless you're underground

Edit: Checked today, it's just one of those hot water holder things, but serves same purpose :)
