At least you guys didn't do what I did for further last year. I was row 1 column A, right in the corner with the whiteboard with the time to go on it 10cm in front of my desk. With about 15 mins to go I decided to have a stretch (quietly), streched my arms out, then my legs (forgetting the whiteboard is there) I accidently kicked the wheels of the whiteboard so that it nearly feel forward and made a large enough noise for the examiner to turn her head like a rocket and look directly at me  :o

Someone's phone went off. He tried to ignore it but the examiner went and grabbed it and read his name out to turn it off.

Regarding the phones, my school's VCAA people are all serious business when it comes to ANYTHING. So I'm pretty sure if a phone went off, they would actually do the whole "we'll take your phone for 3 months and tear it apart to see it you were cheating" thing.

yeah, someone at my school apparently got caught years ago and didn't get her phone back until after she got her ENTER.

We got told this year prior to exams by our coordinator that they'd been told that if anyone is caught with a mobile phone this year that they would not get it back at all. Not sure wether that was a bluff just so they'd behave or not. But needless to say no ones phone when off. But I kinda jumped when the music for the school bell came on out of nowhere. Then I started to write to the beat. Then it ended and I got stuck for 5 mins.

Not really something funny but a guy sitting in front of me had written notes into his dictionary (I assume they were quotes), he didn't get caught out.

Yeah, we have something like that. The actual 'ding' is like 5 seconds of the intro riff from some Spiderbait song lol. The bell goes off, then music plays for a few minutes and then goes off again. I think it would be annoying if it went off in the middle of an english exam though :/

The music is something like an indicator that you have that many minutes to get to class, otherwise you're late.

We had this song a couple of weeks ago, really, REALLY annoying though. Pity it couldn't go off in the physics exam.
