Just letting you know I saw Chess two nights ago at the Exhibition Centre and it was bloody fantastic!

I don't really know any musicals other than the ones that most people have heard of so don't shun me  :-[ but I really, really love The Phantom of the Opera and Love Never Dies.

Our recent school production was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. (I was in the band playing the awesome oboe solos :P)

Also, everybody should listen to Classic FM: at the moment they're playing Gene Kelly's music ( so much love for this man <3)

I might be a little bit biased given that I've been a Newsies fan since I was 7 or 8 but I do wish it had taken best musical! Although it's hard to tell from bootlegs.

That's awesome, lucky! Any notable acting performances?

Haha fair enough! With the film with Christian Bale :P
Yeah I've only seen YouTube clips, but I thought they deserved it with the dancing alone! Plus, I wasn't really that impressed with the Once song that was performed at the Tony Awards in comparison.

Simon Gleeson played Anatoly (the Russian) and Anthem was absolutely brilliant (that was the end of Act One song). However, Martin Crewes who played Freddie (the American) sung a song called Pity the Child, which I've heard is perhaps one of the hardest male songs in any broadway musical. Him singing that song gave me the shivers it was that freaking good. But everyone one was good in that musical! Other than Dr Zhivago, I think Chess was one of the best musicals I've ever seen :P
