Damn, looks like I got the mean wrong, got e^2 + 4/3 = 8.722

How did yous do it?

oh fk.... I antidiffed the second one from infinity to 0. fk sakes

Was E(Y) = 4.333?
not according to iTute, but that's what I got :S

I'm quite sure it was 4.333 as well =="

how did you guys work out what k was for that cubic function...i remember getting c=4/3 but i think i got the value of k wrong :S

dT/dx = 0

you subbed in x = 1, then figure out the value of k which was 1/4? (was it?)

I tried this and my CAS wouldn't do it...I think I ended up with 1.4xx or 1.6xxx or something, was quite sure I got it wrong

edit: I assume you mean 0 to 4 though?
