Thanks a lot! That clears things up. Seeing as electives are still required, would it be possible to credit my uni extension chemistry and in turn, 'skip' a unit?
It's unlikely that I'd commit myself to any sort of overloading, however I'm just curious about this option and more so comparing it to Griffith Uni's BMedSci degree, which is 3 year's worth of content squashed into 2 (!).
You sure can! You actually can gain credit for both units studied in extension chem, so you can either take second year chem subjects or do only 6 units in your first year

A friend of mine is doing that degree/pathway at Griffith, and I 'think' it is only shorter as the whole degree is BMedSci/MD (I am not sure if that is what it is called) and becomes like a 6 year program - should probably google this to verify, my brain is on holiday mode right now...
