How likely are you to be accepted into one undergaduate medicine course in australia with a 90 percentile umat and 99.0 atar?

at uq, if you can get a 99 atar (or 97.5 if you do spesh/a language or 95.5 if you do both spesh/a language), and roughlky 89+ percentile for umat, you'll get into uq (because they have no interview!)

Cutoff this year was 95%ile for early interview, and late interviews need a low 90s UMAT and a 99+ ATAR...90%ile MAY get you one but you'd want quite a high ATAR (99.50+)

Actually...if you got 99.90 you could get UMAT overall of 56 and get an interview, and if you got overall UMAt 64 (like 94th percentile) you could get 97.5 and get an interview!

Thats awesome, but may i ask how do you know? (i'm also assuming the 99.90 is second round offer and 97.5 is first round offer)

Hmmm....Ionno, but I'm not sure if those scores would be applicable to next year's cohort of UMATers given the increasing competition for places they do seem like exceptions really. BTW does anyone have any predictions for next year's UMAT cut-off for first round offers? Does it fluctuate often or will it stay the same?

It should stay the same, the only reason it changed this year was because they cut down the number of interviews for early round.

My gut feeling is that with a 90th Percentile, you'll struggle with Monash, even though you'll get a late interview, because look at it this way
There's a lot of people who have gotten 90-100th Percentile and have gotten 99.00+ ATARs as well, you'll have to beat them in the interview by enough of a margin to win back your loss in the UMAT.

You really really need to get 95th+ in UMAT to really be competitive for Medicine at Monash, just because of the sheer number of people with good ATARs and UMATs.

Honestly, you can't really say how likely you are to get into any universities (bar maybe UQ, Griffith and UTas) based just on your scores because the interview almost always plays the biggest or at least an equal role to the others...and generally it's pretty difficult to know how well you went.
