We should have a integration bee (srs), it will be fun.

Like a 'spelling bee' we should have a 'integration bee' its a big must :P.

Like Massachusetts institute of Technology (MIT) have integration bees just like this video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHAHiEgtyT8

We should divide groups to make it fair, like a uni student that does math should verse a uni student that does math, spesh kid vs spesh kid, get what i am saying guys :P?

In the next VN meet up we should go to like a free lecture with blackboards or white boards, and verse each other. It will be really fun. Any maths freaks approve this?

Any integrater lovers here? look at this symbol you know you wana touch it and solve it ::)

Ok here is a challenge for you guys, without resorting to google/wolfram alpha.

Find

I think it's outside the spesh course (uses intergration by parts) but its one of the harder questions I came across today (from the stewarts calculus book). TT and others should be able to get it (pi might, depending on what Melb High covered), so wait a little to see if the others can work it out. I'll put up the solution later.

I'm a bit aware of Uni maths students like Humph (completed pure maths), Ahmad (completed maths), Quantum JP (3rd year mathematical science student) and Enwiable (4th year aerospace engieering/science student). some of these guys done their degrees and some of these guys almost completed there degrees, would you guys reckon  the third/fourth year uni math students would differ a lot to first/second year maths student? I'm a bit worried, the 3/4 year maths students will have a upper advantage on the 1/2 year math students?

Of course the math prodigies: /0, Mao, TrueTears, Enwiable, Hump, Kamil, Ahmad and Quantum. Will be definitely a interesting watch through. If i know you guys too well, than i guess i might bordering to be homo.

I'll come just to see the competition and tension that arises between two mathematicians battling it out to the death. Please make sure there's an allocated cheering area :P

If you spesh kids don't feel like your ready to do the integration Bee, thats alright, if they are not much spesh kids, than i guess its best to postpone till the end of the year. Might still get the 'Uni maths student integration bee' going, wouldn't be fair for them to wait for the fun.

I might not control this event, it would be best for a University Student or Graduate to control this event. I think I just want to give a good idea for a VN meet up, whos know i might not be there or i might be there.

Haha, an extra year or two might give you a bit of a knowledge advantage but nothing major, but Mao (a year younger than me) creamed me in the subjects we did together and when you get down to the VCE level there is precious little difference. So no discernable advantage really :)
