how was it??

did the teachers pile on homework? 'cos I'm not back yet and am craming massively to finish the courses.

Yeah, I'm doing two, if that's what you meant. Three would be pretty scary in yr 11.

First two days were good, but kinda frustrating. The teachers told us everything was due on Thursday, so pretty much everyone spent the last day cramming holiday homework...and then nothing was collected until today. I hate it when that happens. xD

We haven't gotten any more homework yet, actually! There hasn't been much work in class either, since the teachers are still introducing the courses.

Don't feel bad if you can't get everything done - you have until November, anyway.

Definitely don't spend too much time stressing out! You sound incredibly prepared as it is.

For the weekend I have a history response to write, a set of methods questions to complete and a bio sac to prepare for. Having said that, I have just finished all of my chapter 1 chem questions and an assignment, so I did start the day with a heavier workload haha.

I got 18/20 for the Further Maths test. Before we started though, the teacher blurted out "While this test doesn't count, I hope you all do your best." I got so mad because I studied so much thinking it would be a part of my GA1! >_< To be honest, I was hoping to do a little better and I really don't know where I went wrong. I was feeling pretty confident walking out of that test. It will be interesting to see which questions I got wrong and where I was ranked in the class (he forgot to give us a rank -.-). Also, even with all of the material I had collected before the test, our teacher gave us really hard questions! I guess he knows we are the 'smart' class and I think he wants our SACs to be harder so we find the exam a breeze and hence get our GA1 scaled up.

Anyway, I haven't had much homework so far. All the accelerated students are also doing GMA this year so we can practice our Methods 1/2 stuff from last year, but we also have non-accelerating people in our class (since it's a Year 11 course). Anyway, the gap between the accelerating kids and the others is massive! We spent two days doing indices, because half the class didn't get it! +_+

My homework is mainly to do the similarity exercises for Further Maths.

I wanted 19/20 or 20/20, so I'm a little disappointed. But I guess the scores don't count, which is a good thing!

Looking forward to the challenge of year 11 with two year 12 subjects - and one of those with distance ed, English class - I have the best teacher and interacting with people outside my family on a daily basis once again and taking the first couple of steps towards being a doctor (hopefully!!)
Not looking forward to - chem class (lots of love for the subject, not so much for the teacher), and the routine of school life
