I used to have it. got addicted. then stopped myself and havent been on it for the last 2.5 years. :) YAY! I 'm planning to get it after year 12.

HAHA. I would too. :) its horrible.seeing the books reminded me of certain questions in the exam. :(

The way I see it is that Facebook is just a place where people want to have multiple friends they would never really talk to irl and boast about how many they have. The people that I care about have my phone number, and so they will get to me directly whenever needed.
Plus, I cbbs with gossip.

It's more convenient for me to use than a phone though, it's easier to navigate, chat to multiple people at once. Event's and things are also easy to organise over facebook. Just like the AN meet, we could discuss who brings what and everyone can see so it makes it easier. It doesn't happen everyday, but it is one of its merits.

Most of my friends on Facebook I talk to irl though. I dunno, I just think it's a great communication tool.

But what ever works I guess.

I guess , yeh. People do it for the popularity , defines you socially etc,etc.
But , for example , every family member of mine in India has FB, its just easier to see what they are up to on Facebook. That's one of the reasons why I did have one.
One of the reasons , I deleted FB ,  people were being friends with me by looking at my FB and adding me for no reason , just to gather more and more friends. it became a tad annoying after a while

I just did a mass delete of rands on my facebook. It's pretty much my school cohort plus a few others.

Yeah I don't have it either... It's just a waste of time imo. Like others said, it's just a way to collect friends and then boast about how 'popular' you are... AND it's just about stalking others and what they've been doing with their lives...
But I guess it does have it's positives too...
Then again, who needs facebook when you've got AN? :P

I might try dropping Facebook for a month or so and see if my productivity gets any better... If it does, I actually might put it off... And use Myspace instead.  ;)

No joke, I'm addicted to AN.. my whole family bags me about being on it 24/7.. I legit open it as soon as I'm on something with internet and then I stay on it for aaaaages.. Honestly, idk why it hasn't replaced google as my homepage
