Havent been on VN for a bit but decided to come on to check this thread out I was at the game and it was fucking awesome, last 5 minutes most intense atmosphere - grand final like!
To those who said Collingwood dominated the 1st quarter, were we watching the same game??? Bombers were smashing us in the first 5-10mins, then we took over. The game was 5-10 min periods of momentum shifts.
Teams milk the clock all the time, there isnt a rule against it. Only way to prevent it is to man up.
From the stats and just watching the game, collingwood should've won by 5 goals + easily. Wasted so many opportunities. To Essendon's credit you were able to stay in the game with a semi depleted side which goes to show that teams need to take you guys seriously this season.
Some of the video reviews were stupid imo they should've just stuck with what the goal umpire saw/thought.
Ben Sinclair should not continue to get a game, his kicking is shocking missed 3 opportunities for goal - 2 in the final quarter. He has missed numerous goals this season most of which very kickable. Really frustrating, the upside is his enthusiasm, tackling and pressure.
Essendon could've come back in the final minute but Watson's decision wasn't the best.

Chyeaah collingwood! Bet you weren't expecting us to win ahhaah (i wasn't either for that matter). This is usually the time where I rub it in to people about our measly 1 pt win, after all the stuff i get thrown at me when we lose

lol no i actually rarely watch footy nowadays and don't particularly care whether they are on a winning streak or not. Keep in mind I was a passionate supporter back in the day (yr10). St Kilda= Glory supporters

Oh ok fair enough then i guess. But i hate the supporters who rant on about hating bucks, maxwell, eddie etc when we're losing, then when we string together a few wins and look like we're playing decent footy they jump onto the bandwagon and start praising the coaching staff and players. FFS we don't need you lol

Who would've thought that Collingwood would be 6-2 at this stage of the season. Probably had one of the worst runs with injuries thus far, playing with 1 KPD for 3-4/8 games and still managing to get by! Credit goes to Buckley and the coaching staff and of course the players! Oh Pendles <3 Goal to seal and put the icing on the game was fucking awesome!
Adelaide rolling along very nicely and the bombers are too even with their fair share of injuries. WCE competitive as predicted altho they've got a few injuries too. Lol @ carlscum OMG we beat Collingwood by 60 points!! Flag is ourzzzzz Sydney have been a suprise this year imo i didnt predict them to be playing this well. I reckon geelong will still be competitive but their domination every round is over, tho if they make the finals they will lift. Hawks underperfoming imo could/should be playing much better.
