I know i'm only a silly first-poster, but to all of those with really high averages you should consider volunteering some of your time. I mean, the self-pride you lose from letting your average slip from 95 to 85 will be more than made up for in the feeling you get from helping those less fortunate.

And you will still get into any postgrad course you want.

I recently begun volunteering as a homework helper for disadvantaged and refugee students in one of the poorest suburbs, and no 95 WAM could replace this!

just curious to see how much a standard 4 subjects a semester 8 a year timetable looks, also tell me what course & majors youre doing cos im sure its different amongst the different degrees
Currently sitting on a of GPA 3.958 and WAM of 96.658. I do nothing but eat, sleep and study, so I guess around 9-10 hours per day (and I normally sleep 10-11 hours per day, sleep is essential). Although the reason I spend so much time studying is because I don't attend lectures and so on, self studying suits me better. If I were to go to lectures, my average study time per day would decrease dramatically.

Course: Bcom/Bsc
Majors: Finance, Actuarial Studies, Econometrics and business statistics, Pure Mathematics

Just curious what unit was the one that killed ur GPA? Physics??

Which uni is she at and what are her courses? At ANU they barely ever hand out marks over 85, even to top students; if you don't do work and don't go to class, you're fucked.

Deakin :P (I think that says something about the quality of the university). But yeah - she got two Ds and two HDs last semester, but I did exaggerate it when I said she doesn't go to uni at all - but it's like 4 hours per week - cause she only went to 2 of her 2 hour tutes per week, something like that.
