While I'm still in year 11, I think there is really something to be said about being in a new environment, and the exposure to new people. I went through year 7-9 (I know they were the younger years but hear me out) with my best friends having various boyfriends and boys interested in them, and me-nothing. I moved schools and in year 10 suddenly had a number of boys interested in me, two fought over me...I think if you go into a change of scenery confidently that makes the world of difference :)

the key to not being friendzoned is to say things that "just friends" wouldnt do, eg; she insults you be like "oh you hurt my feelings KISS IT BETTER !!" even if you straight away follow up with a LOL JOKES that little notion in the back of their mind stays there and yeah thats the key to it, if youre both interested eventually you will realise if not then meh you made a friend
