they didnt have beige

it was bright yellow

they called it beige. even tho yes, it was CLEARLY yellow. pfft at VCAA

also you're not wrong in saying Leon has emotional strength, because he does by the end of the film, he learns to deal with his emotions and with the consequences of his actions, and he learns to cry (whereas before he believed that men shouldn't)

relax :)

"Isn't it honest?"
"Not emotionally it isn't"

Doesn't that imply there is a difference? at least to sonja anyway. I don't actually know the question btw

Question was something like Lantana shows that emotional honesty is more important than emotional strength. Discuss

oh. So they have obviously taken 'emotional strength' to mean Leon's macho exterior of not showing his emotions, whilst emotional honesty would mean showing his emotions like sonya wants him to?  And then the same with John and Valerie.
Although I would have first thought that emotional strength would be someone who can handle tough times, which Leon and John struggle to do precisely because they can't show their emotions. hm weird

I did that...
TQA pt.1, Lantana Pt.2

TQA went fabulously well, as did the analysis and POV.

But Lantana Pt.2...

Disjointed crap. Absolute crap.

I decided that Emotional Strength was aka Leon, in the beginning being all strong and not showing emotion (like when he hits the mystery man, and confesses to Pete in the urinal)

Emotional Honesty was the ability to be emotional aka Nik.

Direct contrasts, I thought. Three paragraphs, each talking about the characteristics of both areas and then a contrast paragraph.

I don't know. I decided on quote spamming to get me through. it looks tacky,  but hey! textual evidence always wins.

Hi all, I've been lurking around this site for a while but I've finally bothered to create an account.  :D

I'm reasonably happy with how I went, but I'm wondering whether if a conclusion is necessary for my analysis because I left it out...

I'm also a bit worried that my essays may have been on the short side, since none of my writing pieces exceeded two pages (although my writing is quite small and I can fit 300-400 words onto a page).  :?

I did Lantana Part 1 and 1984 for part two.
