I didn't think it was too bad. The essay topics that I chose were OK, just. I was able to use many quotes but I'm not sure I always related my essay back to the topic. 3 pages for one 2 and a bit for the 2nd.

I found the Analysis peice wayyyyyy too long, had to cut Mr Lee's analysis right down. Got 4 pages out of it.

For the POV i totaly rushed it, pretty sure my handwriting was atrocious. Dont even know if what i wrote was relevant.

Even got ownd for having a myzone watter bottle(with the label off), because it was blue.

I stuffed that up BIG time. I had the easiest questions to answer, yet I didnt manage to finish in time. I'm feeling so bad about it

a) You are to speak at a public forum. Your topis is 'Are we overprotected?".

b) The daily newspaper is conducting an essay competition. The topic is 'Are we oeverprotected?'.

c) You have read the two articles in the daily newspaper (pages 14 and 15). Write a letter to the editor of the newspaper expressing your view on whether we are overprotected.

I did horribly :\

Exactly! I shouldve left the analysis till last, seriously I spent about an hour on it. Real poor judgment of time on my part..

My thoughts on the exam
It was a reasonable exam, although the sacrifice question for The Quiet American screwed me over. I tried relating to humans judging morality based on the situation. Anyone else do that?

I hate english

I can't write coherant essays

I spent too much time on the analysis part...

I never realised each text response was worth 20 marks each...I thought it was ten marks....that's why i did them last...

I hope I can still get 30 as a score

hmm i didn't do too bad ... curious incident part 1, and inheritance part 2

I did about 3 pages analysis, there was soo much to analyise think I did good on that though, about 2 pages and a bit on POV which I did the essay.

then i did the Part 1 essay, think i got about 2 pages or soo.

then the Part 2 essay, which if I remember right I clocked 3 pages.

Wasn't too hard, but I don't really want to go into that, seeing that every time I say i did good, i get a really crappy score ahh well =]

rejoice in the fact that its over.

Did Media first:
Analysis - Spanned a good 2 pages (about 6-700 words), I liked what I had written. Split up body paragraphs into the children portrayals and parental portrayals with the opening body paragraphs on language devices designed to enhance credibility.

POV - Wrote as a media analyst working with Melbourne University about how the advent of mass media increased fear and it would be ignorant *not* to be overprotective. Concluded that no, we aren't overprotected, we've simply adapted to a changing view of the world. Btw, 1.5 pages or approximately 450-500 words for this.

Texts:
Part 1 - Minimum of Two, question was shit. Wrote about how relationships define us, especially at our loneliest. 3 and a half pages for this, or about 1000 words.

Part 2 - Blueprints for a Barbed-Wire canoe. Was decent. Wrote in first 2 paragraphs how it was their self-interest of dreams and the need to belong that fostered the community and it was governmental greed and power-hungriness that destroyed it. Ultimately concluded that Macauley belives both are instrumental in creating and destroying communities. 3 pages for this, so approximately 900-950 words.

WHO ELSE IS JUST REALLY FREAKING HAPPY THAT IT'S OVER?!
