Hi for 2b in business I wrote the amount that the item would be worth so 7524 but used both methods correctly.  Would this still get full marks? Otherwise I'm pretty sure the rest are completely right.

jmonte12 - no because its a 1 mark question u only get the mark right if u get the answer right

onlysteven - yes that should be accepted
Damn, there goes my 50 :/

lol dont worry i forgot the minus sign for the residual question and realised after i handed in the paper, also didnt read the question for 3c ii and i did the perpetuity balance as 109k instead of 80k -.-

Business-related mathematics Q3cii: The answer should be $281.02 (I think you may have just typed it in wrong haha).

you might still get the mark. Don't want to get you too exited, but MAYBE the assessors might accept that because the y-axis only said height, and didn't specify height above sea level.

Hey guys for the trig and geo, question 4C (working out the area) does it matter what method you used? I'm assuming most worked out the k^2 factor and used the area of the smaller triangle. However I used similar triangles to work out OD, then just used 0.5bcsin(A) to do the area. Wondering if I would lose a mark for not using area of triangle OBC, given in the question.

If you had the answer right, then they can't take a mark off you because it wasn't a 'show that' question. however if it's wrong you may lose two marks.

b) draw a line from (P, 2) to (Q, 14) ---- I drew a line from (Q,0) to (Q,14) this may be required or drawing this may make the answer wrong --- need clarification

[/quote]

i drew a free hand line that was uneven as the contour lines were uneven, would this still be correct?

I'm also wondering what they'll accept for the contour line.
I ruled mine, but as the map had uneven lines, I'm thinking they might only accept freehand lines.
The freehand line would look more accurate visually, but the ruled line would be no less incorrect, would it?
