This will get you at least 49 if not 50.

what about A+ sacs, 32/40 on exam 1, 30/80 on exam 2?
or 40/80 on exam 2?
or 45/80?
seriously gutted

I'm really not sure now. High 20s for 30/80, but i reckon you could get mid 30s with 45/80
the A+ cutoff is likely to still be 60ish i feel
so i'd say maybe 37-39 still - optimistically 40-41

wait is that for 55/80...to get 40-41???

Optimisitically?....41??? Ok you made my day so so much just then!

for a second i thought i'd get like...a 20 :'(

But lets say it was 50-55/80 for exam 2?? would i still get about 35? I was really really wanting 41+ but right now i'd be happy with anything that scales to 41!!

depends on how hard the exam was
i haven't even seen it yet
so its hard to predict when a lot of marks have been dropped cos others will have dropped them too.

This is only the best outcome I can get, there's a good chance I dropped marks, I'm just choosing not to look at the suggested solutions this time round :P

Thanks @above.

It always depends on the type of exam it is mate :).

For reference, last year I got 44 with A+ SACs, 39/40 for exam 1 and 72/80 for exam 2. If you have A+ SACs you're well on your way to get 40!

Doing last year's exam 1 in 30min i got 39/40 (cancelled out the p with probability of 3h and 2h+t hehe) and like 74/80 for exam 2 in 1hr 40min and this year i got an 87% average raw inschool for sacs and my maths teacher said that may be enough for an A+ before scaling of sac marks so it would definitely be one afterwards.

i could have gotten 45 last year.  l4timemachine

If I got 37-38/40 for an easy Exam 1, 70/80 for (what seems to be) a challenging Exam 2, can that still net me somewhere in the 42-43 range?

Exam1: 38/40 (or 40/40 if 0.29 gives full marks)
Exam2: 65/80
Sacs: it will be A+, i got 87% raw average for my sacs, just outside top 10% in my school (i think) and my school goes up (McKinnnon Secondary College) so although I don't know how our sacs change, most likely A+.

Hoping for 40 raw but 38 raw will still be good enough... Was going or an easy 45 at the start of the year but didn't realise it was this cut throat (although I would have gotten 70-72 for exam2 if i was slightly less pressured for time and entered data into my calculator for a few questions in properly when I had the right working on my page)
