According to Wolfram Alpha (search: Australia + Life expectancy), the average life expectancy is 81.67 years.

I would say that this could increase to say mid 80's and plateau to late 80's. Taking into account that the global population could reach 10.5bn by 2050, this would be putting a huge strain on resources that are already being used at a rapid rate. The average life expectancy in 2100 could fall from either another plague, minimal resources or increased occurrences of natural disasters due to global warming.

You don't need to know the actual life expectancy
Just approximately 79 for males and 82 for females but will vary depending on textbooks.
Pretty much know that females are higher than males and be able to use determinants to explain why.
If they want you to use data they will provide it.

They most likely would not ask if it will increase or decrease but whichever you choose you have to be able to justify using your determinants and other stuff.
For example, if you said it would increase you could talk about medical advancements, increase in health promotion strategies so more awareness, etc.
If you said decrease you could talk about the increase in lifestyle conditions [e.g. cardiovascular disease - leading cause of premature death]
VCE 2012:

Chemistry (33),
Methods (34),
Biology (35),
English (36),
Health and Human Development (48)

ATAR: 91.60

under the age of 5 is when children are at greatest risk of mortality (lower immunity, more injuries/accidents due to less awareness of danger) so life expectancy increases as children get older because if they survive this stage they are more likely to survive to adulthood.
teenage years and 20s are when greater risk taking behaviours generally occur (especially in males) so if someone lives past these years they are more likely to live to an older age, resulting in an increasing like expectancy
