Ok, thanks for informing me. If there is this general stigma floating around, I won't comment for a while.

Oh come on, really, why try and turn my words against me? Where did I say there was a stigma and told you not to comment?

All I did was say judging by your posts it sounds like you could do with some actual help, which you cannot get on this forum, seeing it is apparent your issues are beyond the scope of what can be dealt with on this forum. It's not an indictment on you, but rather a rational response to the situation at hand.

Instead of trying to place the blame on others about a "stigma floating around" you should look at your own posting patterns and think about how you would feel if you were the other person and then evaluate what is best for you.

Well that's one week of homework, FIFA, driving and staying up for the World Cup.
Looks I have another week to repeat the whole thing  :P

How's everyone these holidays? :)

I'm good thanks. I've done a lot of baking (custard tarts, laming tons, melting moments etc), worked a few extra shifts (and I did overtime because it was insanely busy), went to the South Melbourne market yesterday, caught up with friends, done the majority of my set homework besides by Literature passage analysis, chilled out, started a health kick and started a little bit of Unit 3 revision.

Damn, I just realised how much I can do when I don't have school. Honestly can't wait for the end of the year!

Made a pizza today. Burned it.

GG cooking.

On other more optimistic terms I'm nearly through English and Lit homework. Still lagging in chem and stuff but oh well.

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone was willing and able to assist with some of my queries?

I want to organise my complete accessories for purely: 1) SAC equipment and 2) Exam equipment.

1) I usually bring my pencils, pens, erasers etc... into a classroom raw (as we cannot use our pencil cases under SAC conditions). Anyone recommend any see-through pencil case, or anything that could assist in carrying this SAC specific equipment.

1) Also, how many black pens, blue pens, pencils, sharpeners, highlighters etc would one recommend for the following subjects: Australian Politics, Further Maths, Business Management, English and Economics?

2) How many pens, erasers, pencils etc should I bring into an examination room (dependent on subject of course)? Also, are you allowed to bring see-through pencil cases in VCE Unit 3 & 4 exams? If not, can plastic folders suffice? I'd prefer not to carry my equipment raw, into such important examinations. It would probably send me into a frenzy of doubt, which is not what I need before these important assessments.

1) + 2) Can anyone recommend specific headphones or anything to block out noise or distractions? E.g. the ones which go completely over the ears rather than 'earphones'.

1)+ 2) Any other recommendations on study equipment and/or study equipment which assists concentration (e.g. headphones) I am more than willing to hear.

Thank you!

Does anyone know if you're allowed to bring a watch into SACs and exams?

I personally don't like listening to music when studying and I don't have an issue with blocking out sound. If you're purely after something to block out noise then get a pair of these

If money isn't an issue and you want to listen to music without distractions then get a pair of Bose QuietComfort, you'll see people on planes use these all the time and the reason is clear, they are incredible.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have a look :)

You're allowed to bring a watch into your exam, but you're not allowed to wear it - instead, place it at the top of your table. Here is a list of ALL the materials you can bring into an exam. And I do mean the ALL semi-literally - the only thing it doesn't mention is clothes. It even addresses what sort of drink bottle you can bring in and where it must be placed (spoiler: it can't be on your desk).

Is anyone going to bring in a dictionary for the English exam? Is it compulsory to bring in a dictionary?

Honestly find this pointless, but could be a personal thing.

E.g. time-wasting and causes unnecessary stress and takes up room on the desk to disrupt writing patterns.

Does that mean one can technically get away with wearing casual clothes on an exam day?

Considering your school is the exam venue, and as such has the right to tell you to get off their grounds and not do your exam, I wouldn't risk it. :P

Ah ok, thanks for advising me.

I thought I was onto something, even if it was a fragile hope...
