For me I tend to stop studying until my study becomes ineffective. Eg I was about to sit another chem exam just then, but I couldn't concentrate at all. Better to save a quality full exam for later than doing it at the end of the day.

Hmm good Question, I try to schedule breaks in between, do a bit of exercise then get straight back into it. During these times I do practice exams(I aim for about 3 a day), go over my notes and during the afternoon I do an english essay. Its a routine for me, and I dont really want to break it, I keep myself motivated by having chocloate here and there and watching my favourite anime and talk to friends at night.
