Are any of you using The Lot in Words by Michael Leunig for Whose Reality? I'd really like to know which of his essays you found to be the most helpful when it comes to the context.

For The Lot,the obvious pieces to reference is "Thou Shalt Be Attractive" and "Cutting the Rope" so i would shy away from it unless you really have to use it. The pieces i find i use effectively are "Art from the Heart" and "Lest We Forget".

people who are doing identity and belonging - what are you using for your supplementary texts?

I'm using Skin. My ideas will come from the white privilege debate which is pretty prevalent in the US at the moment with the acts of civil unrest in Missouri.

If I just don't go to english, can I get a derived exam score on the grounds of being too emotionally distressed to sit the exam or..?

Don't give up! Just relax, look through your notes, listen to some music, do whatever to get in the right state of mind and go in tomorrow and give it your all, and just be proud that you did your best :)

Haha thanks :) I feel like I should have done more but whatever, I'll do what I can and hopefully be proud of the result !

But really..do people actually make notes for english..?

We're all stuck in this awful boat together - us - and the thousands of other VCE students about do the exam.

I find that oddly comforting :)

I guess the more you stress shows the more you care about school. I am not a person that gets stressed or nervous over school, mainly because i really don't care what score i get just as long as i do my best. I believe that school is not the ticket to your dreams, just look at the number of extremely successful people like Bill Gates and Dave Grohl that didn't even finish school. I measure success qualitatively not quantitatively. Always remember that there are many ways to get where you want to go, some just take more time, but in ways that's a good thing, to me it's all about the journey, not the destination, well that's my rant for today, i wish you guys all the best for your exams :)
