What do you guys want to do after school?

Occupational Therapy at ACU or Monash and then probably a Master of Music Therapy at UoM down the track  :D

Well I did horrendously on the UMAT so I don't have hope for MBBS at Monash. But I'm fine with that :-) quite excited for Melbourne Uni.

Yes, I believed the people named will do very well, but also don't underestimate casbanjo, by the time he'd finished yr 11 he already had an ATAR of 89, This year he has two subjects, spesh and chem, both heavily scaled up, if he does well he could easily get 99
Hahahahahahaha no

bachelor of arts at melb is still my goal though. unfortunately i fulfil the arts stereotype of not actually knowing what the hell i want to do afterwards, but i've got plenty of time to figure it out :P

also, one question i've had on my mind for a while, why choose biomed over science?
on the uom website it seems to show that in science you can do all the things you do in med plus more. The only thing biomed has that science doesn't (from what ive observed) is that it has a higher ATAR requirement for entry..
Pre req's subjects in anatomy, biochemistry and molecular biology + physiology at second year level before accessing the post-grad entry into med is needed. So all in all it doesn't matter if med is your designation however BioMed is considered more rigid in structure setting you for medicine than BSci.

Workload differs as I've heard.

The same GPA, GAMSAT and interview is needed so practically you would want subjects you enjoy in order to get that GPA... check out https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/view/2012/B-BMED for extra info.

Ah the UMAT. Worst method of selection I tell you!

UMAT, hope it's not around when I graduate ;(
No need for you to worry about whether or not you'll get into biomed, you will, the only question is, will they put a plaque up for you after you finish biomed?
:)

Contrary to popular belief, I don't think that the exam will be as hard as last year's! :-) be positive!

Pick a number
Multiply it by 2
Add 12
Subtract 4
Halve it
Subtract your original number
You now have 4

No one at my school gets this.. :(

Lol I felt overly proud of myself for understanding that you're essentially just doing x + 4 - x and that's why it works, coz I haven't done any maths for over 2 years. And they said mathematics wouldn't serve us in the real world :p

This is the first time I've felt negative about the exams so far.

My first exam is tomorrow and I'm dropping marks left right and centre, I can't seem to concentrate and my brain aches from reading all these exams.

I'm not sure if it's beneficial to keep trying or just stop at the moment.
