Isn't it that you get full marks if your answer is right regardless of whether there is working? I thought the working was only there in case you made a mistake somewhere and you could get some marks for showing your working. So technically if a person had all correct answers they wouldn't need to show working...

They come out in August.
Jack said they come in september... i think its cause they get double marked this year.

Nah I think what he means is if your method is perfectly correct but you subbed in a wrong value.

So like (a random example) you had V = IR , but you accidentally subbed in 9 for I when its meant to be like 20 or something, then you get your answer wrong, you still get awarded your marks for answer because your method is still correct just that you subbed in wrong value. Where as if you did like I = VR or something and get wrong answer, you would get no marks since your method is totally wrong.

Heh which is why physics is so sweet, consequential marks ftw!

Not quite right, one mark for working, one for CONSEQUENTIAL answer. If you subbed in wrong number in your working and get wrong answer according to what u said, he/she wud lose the answer mark, but no in physics they still award it due to consequential marks.
[/quote]

That is pretty much what i said....

If there is a two mark question and i get correct formula but incorrect answer i get 1 mark!
And if the next question is a follow up question. you can use the 'Incorrect' value from the first question and as long as you use the correct method you get full marks for the second part.
There for if the second part was worth 3 marks you would end up with a total of 4/5 marks.

Remember one mark for working, one for Correct answer.
Full Working!

u said dat.

that's wrong, it's not one mark for correct answer, you answer can be 'wrong' due to a wrong substituted value yet u still get the answer mark....

for example. ( 2 mark question)

Find speed if you traveled 20 meters in 10 seconds.

And you write V=d/t

Then you write v=50/10

=5ms^-1
you get one mark.

if you wrote v=mv^2/r
and got 100ms^-1 you get zero.

Mate i know that... u used the wrong friggin method

read wut i said??

i said you get marks for incorrect answers due to wrong substitution, you said you get one MARK FOR CORRECT ANSWER.

Im saying u dont necessarily need a correct answer to get the mark for the answer, you can answer can be totally off due to a wrong substitution but CORRECT METHOD, and you can still get the answer mark.

what dont u understand?

What over9000 said is true, you don't have to get the "correct" answer to get the mark for it, like I said above, you can 'accidentally' sub in a wrong value but you can still get the mark for answers provided your method was correct.

Suit yourself, I dont think anything you say has any value. Im clearly right since I got this info from a teacher but listening to a smartass like you is like being told how do maths by a rock.

Hahaha

This is fun!

Your still wrong.

If you put the wrong answer in the box that says Answer!
You lose one mark!
'consequential' marks some into play if you use you incorrect answer( You got from the first question) in the next part of the question.
therefore providing you don't mess this one up you will get full marks for the second part of the question but still only one mark for the first part.( Providing its out of 2)

That is how VCAA assessors mark the exams, my teacher is a VCAA assessor.
He the one who marks your exams. and that's how they get marked!

If you do a question, and in the whole question, you sub in one value wrong, all working from that point will be wrong yet all you made is one mistake, are u stupid, how the fuk u think ur gonna lose all the marks coz of one mistake. Good luck with ur vce, you probs think if you dont shade in 100% of the circles in the gat they put u in jail, lol.
