You don't even do English.

I'm sorry, I use "English" and "English Language" interchangeably. "English Language" fulfills my English prerequisite, and thus qualifies as "English".

Actually the second law just states that it's very very very very unlikely for matter in high entropy to form a more ordered state, but technically not impossible. But yeah conservation of mass applies :-P haha loved the reactions to your comment.
Well, it's phrased that it is impossible, even though it is, as you mention, based on probabilities.

He's not wrong there. I just presented a simplified version of the second law to make a point.

Alright deadset though;

I'm not going to be coming back on ATARnotes until exams are over (i.e. Until probably the day after the date in my signature).

Cheers for the entertainment throughout the last few months, and being a form of procrastination that didn't make me feel as guilty.

Good luck (not that you'll need it) and hopefully we all go well.

:)

Class of '13.

Thanks mate, best of luck to you too! :)

It's not amazing...the second law of thermodynamics would forbid it.
Also...conservation of mass? Even more entropically unfavoured.
Finally, it's unoriginal; it was on TV.
Sorry, would have replied earlier but was cramming for an optional 3hour uni maths exam today :))

NLIU:

AND WHY CAN I IMAGINE THIS WAS YOUR EXPRESSION LOL:

^nliu when he saw my (AMAZING) joke

Btw, yes I just copy+pasted the joke from bigbang theory coz nliu reminded me of sheldon (just a tad :P)
I'm glad some people had a good laugh at the reactions and relieve a bit of stress for the English exam :)

Oh, and GOOD LUCK BasicAcid even though it might be a bit late sorry! we'll be here waiting for you :)

I'm going to smash one out today.
Then I'm going to spend a couple of hours improving my quote bank.

Just realised that I'm dedicating like 80% of my time towards Text Response!

I'm not gonna do any more essays. Along with some other subject exams today and tomorrow, I'll spend some time going over text response quotes, references for expository, notes for all 3 areas, structure, etc. I also want to do some plans today on those prompts/pieces/topics I haven't really written on before so I can cover any possible situation (to the extent that I'm able to, of course). Then tomorrow I'll go over all the plans and read through my essays+any other high scoring sample essays I've got. Then I'll just hope for the best because by then I would have done everything in my power so it's just up to how nice/mean VCAA wants to be on Wednesday!

Yeah, I just focused on the one I had trouble with, done it now, hopefully it's okay. I want to get it checked by my teacher, but it's raining so I don't want to walk to school!! From now on, it's re reading, gathering quote's, reading over plans as well as looking up tips on how to improve structure and making a word bank.

It took me exactly an hour to do my text response essay, I was constantly looking for better words though, which is probably why it took that extra time. Planning usually takes me no more that 5 minute's though, and I just remembered that I didn't proof read it -_-'

With regards to the exam itself, how many of you are not starting with Language Analysis? Because my thought was that it was a waste if you didn't use 14 of the 15 minutes reading time, and then start the language analysis straight away, because if you did it 2nd or 3rd, you'd have to re read it again, which would eat up your minutes!!!

60 minutes is good because under adrenaline and time pressure you'll be more likely to write faster, so as long as you have a few minutes to proof read you should be fine :)

What I was going to do was quickly look at the topics and prompt from the other 2 sections as soon as reading time starts, then read the article for the first time and absorb it, then if the article isn't too ridiculous,  go back and decide on a topic and plan in my head for that topic and the prompt, and then spend the rest of the time going through the article again (or vice versa)

Then as soon as reading time's over I'll quickly jot down my ideas/refs for the other 2 sections and get straight into language analysis. I'm definitely starting with my language analysis first, because I think it's kind of pointless not to if you've just spent reading time looking through the piece.

Usually language analysis takes me a little longer than the other 2, but I guess it differs for everyone. As long as I can finish all 3 essays in time and have at least 5 minutes (~10 would be ideal) minimum at the end to skim-proofread, then I'll be fine. Hopefully that'll be the case!

I'm sort of hesitant to revise language analysis, I don't want to think about that damn table with all the hyperbole and alliterations..
