That's good to hear! That's the spirit! :D

On a similar topic, how's everyone's attendance this year? Mine's perfect apart from going to the annual budget breakfast at The Sofitel to represent school! (and probably a few other excursions I've forgotten)

Perfect attendance :) And I don't plan on getting sick any time soon.

Haven't taken a day off school since my grandpa's funeral in year 9.

You do realize that in order for us to get ATARs of 80-90+, there has to be people at the other end of the spectrum right?

Mine's probably around 80%. Sometimes being at school is less productive than working at home.

That was my next question actually, sometimes I also get that feeling where I believe that I could achieve way more at home than at school... But I end up going anyway..

Yeah pretty much, I find that I learn pretty easily in most subjects just by reading the textbook in my own time and doing questions. I guess a teacher would help in perfecting my technique and so on. :)

Well the first thing I do is summarise each subchapter into a page (I do this electronically). Then I go ahead and do the questions for the sub chapter. Repeat all that until I finish the whole chapter basically. :)

Then I start polishing my notes, I refer to my A+ Chem study guide and use it to fill any gaps. Sometimes the A+ notes provide a better explanation for certain concepts as well. Then I do the end of chapter/chapter summary questions and once I'm confident, I attempt the practice question from Thushan's AN study guide! :)

I should grab hold of a checkpoints book for Chemistry too, seems like it might be worth it!

I don't even want to think of my attendance! I'd say it would be near 70% :/

doesn't the vcaa have rules regarding attendances like how much classes you can miss throughout the year, or is that based on your school? :O

VCAA:

What are the attendance requirements for the VCE?

All VCE units require 50 hours of class time. You need to attend sufficient class time to complete work. Your school sets minimum class time and attendance rules.

Ours is 90% of classes.. Or as we say, "Four no More" :P
