I sacrificed so many subjects to study for that exam >.>  I know a lot of people didn't, and they probably got better scores than I did.
And now I'm going to fail my methods sac next week because I haven't done methods at all in like, two months.
Chem and Bio ate my life.

yeah behind on like 3 chapters for spesh.....
did so much for chem and what would i get back T_T
i've never seen 10 questions on chem exam before ever.... has anyone else here seen them???

No.  I did about 22 practice exams, all in time, and I finished them all IN TIME bar one of them.
So much for practice exams being one of the best ways you can prepare for what to expect in the exam.  That worked out well, I can see.

Did about ~25-30 practice exams leading up to this, yet I was never so stretched for time in an exam, finished 5 minutes to go. I had no idea about the last two parts of the myrcene question, and I made a couple of dumb mistakes throughout the paper. Overall, I found the content of the exam fine, but it was far too long for the allotted time. When I walked out, I thought i lost about 20 marks, but after checking my solutions against mao's(didn't clear my calculator :)), I think I got 63-64/73.

sigh . .. . kinda depressed now, i got like 53/73 == i think thats a 'B'

so if im averaging low A+'s in sacs and 'B' in this exam, if i got an 'A+' in the next exam can i still get 40 RAW ?

don't give up yet :) Wait till grade distribution is published. I have a feeling the A+ cut offs will be a lot lower this year.

don't think it would be a B.

It's probably not a valid comparison, but last year Biology Unit 4 exam was considered difficult and the A+ mark was 53/75. So even if it doesn't go that low, I would think/hope that low 60s would give A+. Actually, last year you could lose 10 marks to get an A+. I think it will be a lot more than that this year considering all the people that didn't finish.

I'm just wondering is there anyone else on this board who thought they actually did well on the exam?

I compared my answers to Mao's and to my teacher's answers and I either got 68/73 or 70/73 depending on consequential marking.

I'll let you know that I found it to be quite tough too. There were a number of questions I reread and saw I wrote the wrong thing. The poor examiner who marks my paper seeing half the question crossed out. It normally only takes me 30 mins to do the extended response but this took 55 mins and 15 mins for multiple choice. Mind you the other top students in my class didn't do as well with some getting 50s

VCCA is evil... evil to the bone....did they presume that all smart pplz will be doing chem this year,,, and they might as well made it challenging for them?????.. did they not freakin realise there is some average folks out there too,, who would like a decent mark for the effort they put in.... not a freakin 45% which will be scaled.. to let me see a 50%....hmm very satisfying indeed...i may as well should of been partying hard all those months like others who would get similar to me....

I just hate VCCA......and plz say VCCA is fair.....
