Principles of Human Structure

Thought i'd make a thread devoted entirely to anatomy. Man, so much memorizing/ application work associated with this subject. How is everyone feeling for the MST? :S

Not too great, it's hard knowing how much I actually need to know for the MST, especially when they don't provide you with sample questions

I honestly have no idea what to expect

Same here. I mean the ADSL test questions aren't all that hard, but when you work through the ADSL sheets there is so much stuff outside the context of the lectures.

Yeah I know
The diagrams from the ADSL sheets are what might come in handy apparently
At this stage I'm kind of stressed for time so if it hasn't been covered in the lectures I'm not going to bother with it

I doubt you guys are gonna get diagrams in the MST.  The structure is very similar to the questions given in the quizzes online.  The diagrams will be more for the final exam, from memory.

I'm feeling fairly prepared. I hope they test us on a wide range of stuff, and not just on bones, muscles, joints, blood vessels. I have a feeling it will be heavily based on joints/blood vessels because they keep coming up in all sorts of lectures/homework. I hope not though!

That was hard. I already know that I got 5 or so questions wrong. I just hope I would lose a max of 5% of the 15%

How do you know? Who knows you might've guessed correctly Lol :P

Yea I agree it was harder than I expected. It seems they ask pedantic questions that require you to memorise all the little fine prints rather than general overview questions. The possible answers were also confusing as well.

Google lol. Exactly what I thought too, it seems as if we have to go out of our way to research all the details not mentioned in lectures

for about 4 or 5 questions at least I narrowed it down to two possibilities but then had to guess
I had completely forgotten to go over the embryology stuff over the last few days so those questions really tested my memory

Hopefully I didn't drop more than 6 marks but at this stage I wouldn't be surprised if I dropped more

Don't worry guys, the mid-semesters were generally pretty hard for this subject and the exam was easier in my opinion :) (just remember to revise those adsl pictures! haha)
They do like asking about the nitty gritty details in anatomy which is always frustrating!

Results are out for the mid sem
I got 23/30, a little disappointed to be honest
Even if I had gotten 24/30, I would've been content, but yeah
Oh well

Good job guys!  The average was like 19/30 both times this time last year so you're doin' good presuming it's about the same.
