Hey guys:
Thought it would be nice to have a discussion on what part-time jobs you guys had in high school.
I will go first.
I work at one of the busiest KFC in the whole state. I do front counter and drive thru. Worst mistake I ever made :( Smell like chicken every shift. :)
Now it's your turn.

Holy shit man, do you know Justine (boy) that went to P12?
I've worked at Macca's since early 2010, and I'm still (technically) working there, despite not having worked a shift in a while.

Macca's: Kids, don't do it.

Justine is actually my fucking main-man <3

DONT work at La porchetta it was sooooo shit. They are all individually owned but the one I worked at and of others I know it is pathetic. Shithouse pay, werent paying me under the table but refused to give me payslips and even sometimes I would rock up for my shift at say 6pm and if it wasn't busy yet they would make me wait for half an hour to start work. Didn't stay there long.

Medallion club is awesome, mainly also because I love footy. The pay is brilliant and you have the opportunity to work in different areas such as the bar outlet, food outlet, the actual bar, restuarants etc. :)

Only one job for me.
Currently working at Kmart. I open boxes, put the contents on shelves. Repeat.

It's actually okay, I think it's better than working in the fast food areas personally.

Netball umpiring (left last year due to knee reco)
And waitress/barista at The Coffee Club, best place to work, everyone is great  ;D

Don't do umpiring if you only get one game a week like I did, at $8 a game it seemed good at the time for a 40 minute game, but one game isn't nearly enough. If I had like 10, well then it would have been a different story.

Footy umpiring is great pay tho, i think it's just netball ahhah. My friend who does footy empiring get paid like 40 bucks for an hour and half ~ 2 hours. But he gets like 1 game, 2 games a week as well.

Yeah $8 was the starting rate. If I got my badge then it would have been like $20 a game.
Might go back to it if my knees are up to it, probably once I start uni though because Saturdays are my big study day and that's when netball is

I've never had a job, but I once did some work at The Melbourne Show for a few days just selling candy sticks and licorice. It was an alright learning experience. The best thing I learned was to receive a good education and get a real job, because after three days of that peasant work I was buggered.
