I plan to conclude my practice exams probably the Wednesday before the exam, then a pretty tough week for me being a year 11 (4 exams in a week).

Must agree with Kilbaha and Neap being difficult, I was asked a question in a Kilbaha exam that required a normal distribution calculation (which is often found in Methods).

Plus, they actually have so many errors in their exam solutions (across many subjects).
Aish I get this so often. I have to personally adjust my score after thoroughly work through their solution and proving it wrong - It's annoying when you commit to a practice exam and then have questions in which didn't have correct solutions.
vce:
2013: Further [50] (+Premier's) | Methods [48]
2014: Physics [50] | Specialist | Accounting | English Language || ATAR: 99.70 + Australian Student Prize!
uni:
2015: Bachelor of Commerce and Engineering (Honours)

:( That sucks. You can definitely rush ahead and be ready for Further ages before the exam.

I don't think Kilbaha is THAT bad. They may have the occasional tough one but its still doable. Once you do a couple, you will start to notice patterns :)

Just my input on doing difficult exams a few days prior to the exam.

I personally wouldn't do it. If you tackle some difficult exams that aren't specific in terms of difficulty to the real VCAA exam, you may feel demoralised or feel as if your knowledge is inadequate.. you'd probably want to do these weeks before the exam, nail them, then do VCAA standard exams to give me that sense of belief..

Agree, you wouldn't want to panic just before the exam..

I just did a trial exam today with school.. It was the 2013 CSE. Are cse exams generally difficult? For some reason I found it quite challenging and I'm a bit worried about that.

I haven't done CSE exams, but the important thing is for you to remember what you found difficult, document that & keep it in mind so when you do more practice exams, you keep at the back of your mind that difficult question & you'll know how to approach the questions and get them right. :)

They are towards the harder end of the companies, don't worry too much about it.

Suppose on a scale from 1-10, VCAA was 5 in terms of difficulty.

How would you rate Kilbaha, MAV, Heffernan and Insight compared to VCAA?

This is my personal opinion, so don't make conclusions directly from here, there's a good chance others will find them of different difficulty.

Let's put Kilbaha as 10 as the hardest and then spread the other companies out.
Kilbaha: 10
MAV: 8
Heffernan: 4
Insight: 6.5

Some people say MAV's are similar to VCAA but I personally find them quite challenging.

How about Neap?

I feel like neap for both further and biol are ridiculous. I've heard a lot about neap being very off the scope of the course for further..I just find it totally unreliable, some of their answers in the suggested solutions are incorrect and they ask very silly questions! Makes me so angry!
