For Q6, how can "a" be positive and negative? On the graph it showed it to be negative. Am I missing something?

EDIT:Nevermind, wrong question.

Wait a minute I didn't look at the answer 10c properly. I think I may have gotten something similar, but different. I better check it out.

I think they're gonna have to be pretty lenient with forms for 10c, because the way your answer was set out would have massively depended on how you worked out the question, so if your answer was right you'll probably get the marks :)

If the answer is equivalent, but in a different form the answer will more than likely be accepted, especially if it just a matter of expanding or factorising.

For example, would be a perfectly fine answer.

I think answers which contain rather than (assuming equivalence) may also be accepted, but I'm not entirely sure.

Hmm I did the question again with the same method and I got the right answer... I think that's what I put down on my paper then.

question about the marks:
i've heard 2 different things.. so does exam 1 go by the amount of marks it is.. so is it 40/120, or is it 33% of your study score, and same with exam 2?

Both are equivalent, but I'd say not to award full marks because the fractions should have been collected as like terms, but maybe if you have a nice examiner because you did get the right answer! anyway, 2/3 marks at least for sure :)

I'm still not 100% confident, but I'll definitely receive 2 marks for that question at least.

Any tips on how to trigger one's memory? :P
