Is there going to be an ATAR countdown thread like previous years? Or has someone already made the 2015 one?

English Language [??] | Mathematical Methods [??]  | Biology [??]  | Psychology [??] | Japanese (SL) [??]
2016:
Literature [??] |  Further Mathematics [??] | Health & Human Development [??]

Also, to add to what hamo said, after you've done your undergraduate degree, you can then find your own little niche and master a specific field. That can also be very financially rewarding
It can have quite the opposite effect too where it makes you less employable if you're more qualified than others since they have to pay you more (Pharmacy is a good example of this if I recall correctly).

Anyone know if you can enrol completely online for UoM Biomed? I know Monash is (they actually replied to my enquiry) but my careers teacher said for some unis you have to enrol physically within ten days of receiving an offer..
I'm planning to go overseas and they're not replying to my emails aaaahhh  :( :-\

Unless they changed it this year (which I highly doubt), enrollments for Biomed are done entirely online. You just need your passport but since you'll be overseas that shouldn't be an issue   :)

Virtually any profession granted that you're in the top 5-10% of the field. Granted, it's not easy by any means, but if you're at the top in almost every field, you'll be getting a job with a decent salary on top of that. I'd encourage doing something that you enjoy, because you're far more likely to succeed at it than anything else.

True for most fields. For some jobs though, you can afford to be average within it and still command a high salary like actuary, investment banking (super-competitive field with long working hours), tradie and pilot (if you work for a decent airline, my dad was a pilot for Cathay Pacific-a Hong Kong based airline and I have relatives working as pilots and flight attendants for other airlines, so I can attest). The life-style for these professions is pretty hectic though. But yeah, it's better to find something that you enjoy.

I'm 1000% chilling until ATAR comes out at least. I have so much shit to do but I really just cbf atm.
How is everyone feeling about Monday lol

I'm  much more chilled than last year. I guess have already moved on from VCE, such that I don't think about the disappointment from some of my exams any more. It helps that I'm not expecting any 45+ study scores though. Once results come out, the asian parents' comparisons begins...

slower yeah; i just want it over with you know. i feel like it's going to be really anti climactic for me with a mediocre kind of score, but still, i just want to know haha. Dream would probably be a 97/98. I don't think I can though. What about you guys?? Dream Atar??

And if they release any info regarding the scores they can get in heaps of trouble lol

They get told sometime during Sunday, and if you're studying a language at a Chinese school for example or something, chances are if you score well they'll congratulate you early ahead of time (happens every year).
