According to my screenshot of my result last year, the result was published a whole week before the results were released, so you are in fact correct.
Screenshot.. and published results I'm a little confused Stick?  :-\

I'm absolutely terrified.

I have no idea what I'm going to get, but I REALLY (RIDICULOUSLY) HOPE that it will be 90+. I have been obsessed with the ATAR for the past 11 years, and I'm sorry to say that this year has landed me in hospital and therapy many many times. I can't explain to you how important this is to me. I know a lot of people describe it as "just a number that doesn't define you" but it means a lot more to me (for personal reasons). So yeah, I'm in the fucking foetal position right now and I don't know how to feel.

Good luck everyone.

Good luck to you, too! :)

A 30 in English will get me a 90 ATAR, which was what I was aiming for last year (but fell short), but I'm not too fussed about getting that. My main concern is getting the 25+ in English that I desperately need to get into any course at Monash/Melbourne.

As long as I'm in the course, I won't stress about my ATAR. It's just a number that I'll just look back at and laugh. My university scores will keep me occupied enough to forget about VCE.
2012 ATAR - 86.75
2013 ATAR - 88.50
2014: BSci (Statistics) at RMIT
2015 - 2017: BCom at UoM

I'm seriously freaking out. I feel sick all of the time. Half of me wants Monday to get here right now but the other half wants the world to end Sunday night so that it will never come! And I'm not just thinking about what marks I'm going to get, I'm thinking 'what in the world possessed me to think that doing three 3/4s in year 11 would be a good idea!!?' I was the only year 11 who did three and now everyone's expecting me to get high 30s low 40s but I honesty think I'll be lucky to scrape 35 for legal and English. Global politics is a write off so I'm not even thinking about the absolute catastrophic embarrassment that's going to be. Ew ive never felt like this let it end now please.

Are you currently in year 11 now? If not, don't worry, you have an entire year coming to aim high and help balance that out once again.

If you're in year 12, don't worry about the past and what you can't change, look forward and not back. The results you speculate on are pretty decent results in many peoples minds, of course its not the end of the world but it should be good enough to get you into a decent enough position to transfer if you happen to fall short of your aim.

Either way everything is ok!

Now for some reggae:

Hopefully the attachment below will clear things up. 11/12/12 was one whole week before the VCE results were available last year (17/12/12 if I recall correctly). I thought that this may have just been myself, since it was only one result from a subject whose exams were conducted very early in the exam period. However, I've asked a couple of others and they got the exact same date and time as I did. So, by now, our VCE results are more than likely ready. I'm not sure what else they'd be doing to prepare in this time.

As with many large scale things there is a buffer time that they have in case something does go wrong or for general finalisations.

In terms of the results day, you might want to wait a few hours after the initial release time if your body can handle it (lol). Server overload = longer wait times/lock out = pain to person. Both ways it's going to be a long day...

ATARNotes might generate a new record for the most online ever on that day too. Be there!

Haha I was so nervous that I only went to bed at 3, then slept to 8:00. My brother woke me up because he saw my score :D
