Depends on the course/uni/what score you actually got.

Generally the options are:
  • another uni which offers the same course but needs a lower ATAR
  • some sort of pathway program (e.g. Cert V, DoTs)
  • alternative course where you transfer into desired course after first sem/year
  • and of course SEAS saving you if you applied for it

Or option 5: repeat one or more VCE subjects at either TAFE, DECV or CAE. This will not only increase your ATAR score, but allow you to fulfill prerequisites.

It's the option I chose when I got below a 25 in my English subject and didn't want to go to Deakin university.
2012 ATAR - 86.75
2013 ATAR - 88.50
2014: BSci (Statistics) at RMIT
2015 - 2017: BCom at UoM

You'll probably be able to log in at around 6:30 and the results may come up around 6:50 something.

Just get up at 6-anything else you'll be waiting around for nothing.

I'll just sleep like normal and check it when I wake up (which will probably be 7am because I'm so nervous). Does the website tend to crash that morning?

Seven a.m., waking up in the morning
Gotta be fresh, gotta go downstairs
Gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal
Seein' everything, the time is goin'
Tickin' on and on, everybody's rushin'
Gotta get down to the computer
Gotta go online, I see my atar (My atar)

You'll be able to log in well before 7am (I recall getting in at roughly 6:30am). However, the results portal won't show up until closer to 7am. If you're lucky, it can come up before 7am, which is great since you'll get your results before the website crashes. :P Just keep hitting refresh. :)

Also, since you've completed English this year and have done four subjects in total, you will be receiving an ATAR, even though you haven't finished VCE yet. Isn't that interesting? :)

I went to bed last night at 7:30am, so an allnighter is quite likely. And I think frantically trying to log on to the website and hitting refresh will only add to the pressure. :P
