Do the bonus SEAS points only get added if you NEED them to meet your course(s) ATAR requirements?

I'm not too sure, but I reckon the institution just uses your increased ATAR when considering you for courses.
Also, I'm not some weird 2011 grad on this thread, my girlfriend is getting her results and we're waiting up haha!

Where and when at the airport could I get the earliest dreaming herald sun?!
They don't put it in today's paper. Otherwise people could run down and grab a copy now and know their score before VCAA releases them.

I'll give you an example from my experience...My first preference was bachelor of Aerospace Engineering and Science at Monash..I only got 88.90 whilst the required atar for this course was 92.?? or 93.?? So basically, minumum 3-4 points were added on top of my atar so I made it into my first preference. My second preference was Melbourne Science..I doubt their boost would be as much..because monash covers categories such as no english background and financial difficulty, which I had..on the other hand, melbourne only covers financial difficulty and rural areas...one of which I don't have...Hope it makes sense

2012 ATAR:88.90

2013-2015 Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering and Science (dropped in 2015)
2015-2017 Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)

Yeah, Monash has quite a few more SEAS categories than Melbourne which is always a good thing.

I've been trying to sleep for ages, but it's just not happening - so anxious, despite the fact that I'm only getting SS this year (one for Philosophy and one for a VET) >.<

Any ideas on how to pass the time?
2013 : Philosophy (31) | VCE VET Hospitality (Kitchen Operations) (31)

2014 : Food Tech (40) | Accounting (35) | Art (39) | Visual Communication Design (40) | English (38) [hopefully!!]

For anyone who may be interested (and/or who currently has too much time on their hands), I dug up this old blog entry I wrote during this time last year detailing my results day experience (wow, has it really been a whole year already? I'm getting old).
