Could someone please tell me if the herald sun is posting raw or scaled scores?
Thanks!

They post raw.

Actually, it's because to get a 99.95 this year, you needed 211.3 aggregate. That means that you needed to do a subject that scaled above 50. So more people got over 210 than previous years.

Also methods went up to 52 this year and basically everyone who did it last year would've got +2 scaled if they did it this year with the same study score.  if you did methods last year, you're gonna have a bad (slightly worse) time
2012: Mathematical Methods: CAS [41] | IT: Software Development [39]

2013: English Language [31] | Specialist Maths [40] | Physics [39] | Accounting [42]

ATAR Goal: 97.00

I sincerely hope that everyone who sat a 3/4 subject is beaming with, pride, admiration and gratitude to the tremendous effort that they put in. You are all so inspirational and encouraging of each other that I'm so proud to call myself but one of a close community of 30, 0000 + members. The laughs, tears and shear madness of this year is an experience that I will forever hold in my heart. To all you amazing mods, admins etc who keep this site running, I feel like I owe part of my ATAR to you, because without AN, I don't know how I would have (well, a lot of us would have) coped throughout the perils and joys of VCE.

I wish you all the best of luck with the round 1 offers and for all your stupendous future endeavours.

The best is still to come.
If you don't know the answer to a question, chances are it has something to do with changing the surface area to volume ratio or resonance.

But it was harder to get the same raw score this year wasn't it?

No, which makes me mad, because my physics got scaled to 41 and won't be included, but a vet student can get 34 after scaling and be included. come on

Thanks for the info CasBanjo. It is disappointing as I'm a year 11 who got a 32 in biology. It's bad luck.
