I think you are compared to all those who are doing distance ed but im not sure as I have no experience in this area.
Someone else should know :)
Yeah, this is correct, you're compared to other students doing that subject via distance education. DECV (Distance Education Centre Victoria), or whatever other provider, is just another school with an unusual mode of attendance.

3-6 :)

METs is interesting to know but I have never seen any questions in exams or sacs about this topic. Things relate more to sedentary activity, light, moderate and vigorous in terms of people meeting the guidelines and not METs

Good luck with PE !!

Thanks a lot. I was getting a bit worried because i was searching through the study guide and couldn't see anything about METs.

Edit: Learning about NPAG guidelines is so draining, I really hope this is the dullest part of the course.

Quick NPAG Quiz!

This is just a little quiz to test the basics of NPAG. If any of my answers are incorrect or worded poorly, please let me know!

What is the minimum duration of PA a 16 year old needs to accumulate in a day?

Spoiler
60 minutes of physical activity every day

During PA, adults should be performing at a ________ intensity (fill in the blank)

Spoiler
moderate

What is the recommended duration of PA for a 4 year old?

Spoiler
For toddlers between 1-5 years old, they should be performing at least 3 hours of PA everyday, spread throughout the day.

What is the sedentary guideline for 5-12 year olds?

Spoiler
No more than 2 hours of electronic media every day, especially during daylight hours unless it is educational

What are the four physical activity guidelines for adults (18-65 years old)?

Spoiler
1. Think of movement as an opportunity, rather than an inconvenience
2. Be active every day, in as many ways as possible
3. Accumulate 30 mins of PA on most(5), preferably all days at a moderate intenisty
4. If possible, enjoy regular vigorous physical activity to improve health and fitness.

At what duration and intensity should an older adult (65+ years old) be performing at?

Spoiler
Older adults should be completing 30 mins of PA on most(5) preferably all days at a moderate intensity (same as an adults)

What are the sedentary guidelines for toddlers?

Spoiler
The sedentary guidelines for toddlers vary depending on their age. For toddlers age 0-2 years old, NO ELECTRONIC MEDIA is allowed to be used. However, for toddlers aged 2-5 years old, only 1 hour of electronic media is allowed

For the first question I was always to write
At least 60 minutes of physical activity every day

With the last question you wrote this
However, for toddlers aged 2-5 years old, only 1 hour of PA is allowed

I think you just may have made a typo !!

The rest is fine :) Well done !

Are diaries/logs a low burden or high burden on the participant?

My textbooks says that it is low whereas the ATAR Notes Study Guide says high.

I would go with high, because questions that are asked are often complex and require a significant amount of time to complete.

Does any one else find learning about the socio ecological model boring? If not for that topic I'd be further in front. It feels so draining learning about it.

I'm not up to that part yet.. i'm still memorising the adv/dis for subjective and objective measurements lmao.

Is that where your school is up to or have you just gone ahead? BTW how did you go on that PE sac (if your teachers didn't move it)?

I'm miles ahead of my class lol. The teacher didn't realize how slack my cohort is. He has postponed it for a week or two as he will be gone for university for the whole of this week(he is doing a masters in something part time).

Are you going to go ahead as well?

Haha the majority of my class didn't even do the holiday homework so I know how you feel!

I want to but I'm afraid I'll become complacent and not pay as much attention in class.. what do you do when the teacher is explaining concepts that you already know?

We have a little topic test on Tuesday so now I'm just going over my notes for it.

"Compare the use of pedometres, accelerometers and a 5-day questionnare"

I know that when a questions says compare, this means that you have to state the similarities between what the question has stated.. I can't find anything similar between these 3 measures of physical activity.

edit:

I think I read the question wrong because on the worked solutions it doesn't say anything about the similarities between the three.. I don't understand. This is for SA Q. 10 of the 2011 VCE PE exam.

This is the Q:
" Tim, Harry and Nadia are Year 12 physical education students who want to determine the physical activity
levels and sedentary behaviour patterns of 100 Year 1 students (6 years old) in their school to determine if they
are meeting the national physical activity guidelines.
The students have pedometers, accelerometers and a 5-day physical activity recall questionnaire available to use.
Tim suggests that a pedometer is the most appropriate tool to use; Nadia disagrees and thinks an accelerometer
is a better choice and Harry suggests that the questionnaire would be the best choice.
Compare the use of pedometers, accelerometers and a 5-day physical activity questionnaire. Other than cost,
describe the relevant advantages and limitations, and recommend the most suitable method for the students to
use with the Year 1 students. "
