OK, so after some consideration I've come up with this:

Sem 1

Chemistry: Reactions and Synthesis
Accelerated Maths 1
Biology of Cells and Organisms
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Sem 2

Chemistry: Structure and Properties
Accelerated Maths 2
Genetics and the Evolution of Life
Principles of Business Law

this is only if the university says that Practical Chemistry isn't essential
2012
Mathematical Methods (50) Chinese SL (45~52)

2013
English Language (50) Chemistry (50) Specialist Mathematics (49~54.9) Physics (49) UMEP Physics (96%) ATAR 99.95

2014-2016: University of Melbourne, Bachelor of Science, Diploma in Mathematical Sciences (Applied Maths)

2017-2018: Master of Science (Applied Mathematics)

2019-2024: PhD, MIT (Applied Mathematics)

Accepting students for VCE tutoring in Maths Methods, Specialist Maths and Physics! (and university maths/physics too) PM for more details

I'm thinking

Sem 1:
Intro Micro
Organisational Behaviour
AM 1
French 3

Sem 2:
Intro Macro
Intro to Actuarial Studies
AM 2
French 4

Not too sure about Organisational Behaviour... would it be fine to dive into a team-work based level 2 subject in my first semester at uni?
If I don't do OB in Sem 1 I want to replace it with Business Finance, but that has AM 1 (which I'll be doing at the same time) as a pre-req.... how lenient will they be with this?
Plenty of people do OB in their first year. I'd recommend doing it second semester normally, but since you can't fit it in to Sem 2 with your current plan, and you've done UMEP Accounting so you already have a good idea of how uni classes work, it should be fine regarding team work (DAE SYNTAX).

AhhHHhhHHhHhhhH YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS~!

The February class Painting Techniques unexpectedly released 72 further places this morning at 10 AM, due to overwhelmingly popular demand. I wasn't accepted last week as it depended on whoever registered first, and the spots were taken in under a minute. This morning I tried to enroll in every stream, but was all positions were taken until the last stream; stream 12. All in under a minute, again. Barely scraped in.

Which means I can still take 3 subjects per a semester without taking the other February class, Flora of Victoria, and won't need to use a science credit on botany. TO HELL WITH PLANTS, DIE IN A FIRE. (Sorry, LeviLamp.)

For what it's worth, the registration material for Flora of Victoria was actually fascinating, the field trips sounded exciting and the class seems excellently managed and highly regarded. But like...plants.

Feb: Painting Techniques (I didnt get any email to say congrats u r in!! but in portal it said all classes registered!hopefully I am in?!)

Management Consulting seems like the greatest subject of all time, no joke. I wish it was available as breadth!

I'll be doing HR&GJ, so excited for it. Comp and Strat is really tempting too...

I have a question for you smart cookies. Should my second year plan be:
Spoiler

FIRST CHOICE
First Semester

Painting Techniques
Human Physiology
Biological Psychology
Comparative Nutrition and Digestion

Second Semester

Principles of Human Structure
Research-based Physiology
Cognitive Psychology
Sex: Science and the Community

PROS:

Human Physiology is recommended background knowledge for research-based physiology, so doing it first maximizes my marks.
Comparative Nutrition and Digestion sounds fascinated; I'd be scintillated. I found one person who did it and found it 'okay'.

CONS:

Both Research-based Physiology and Principles of Human Structure are quota subjects. If I leave them until second semester instead of applying for both first and second semester, there's an unknown chance of not being selected. I definitely don't want classes other than these, and they're part of the recommended knowledge for several third year classes.
Comparative Nutrition and Digestion is a DASC subject, and there are many bad reviews regarding DASC and Agriculture classes.
I'm not in a class with LeviLamp.

DON'T KNOW IF PRO OR CON:
No labs all year.
...I want to be a researcher so I should probably stop being terrified of labs.

SECOND CHOICE

First Semester
Painting Techniques
Human Physiology
Biological Psychology
Principles of Human Structure

Second Semester

Comparative Animal Physiology
Research-based Physiology
Cognitive Psychology
Sex: Science and the Community

PROS:

The DASC subject has been removed, and DASC subjects have gotten a few bad reviews (though I've yet to hear any complains regarding Comparative Nutrition and Digestion).
The subject which replaced it ^ is Comparative Animal Physiology, which is a Recommended Background Knowledge subject for several of my third year subjects.
Comparative Animal Physiology has received many excellent reviews, from multiple sources.
I have a better chance of being selected for one of my quota subjects.
I'm in a class with LeviLamp. ♥

CONS:

I'm not interested in Comparative Animal Physiology, and even less compared to the nutrition class sacrificed.
DASC subjects are apparently a little easier than usual science credits.

DON'T KNOW IF PRO OR CON:

I have one class with labs this year due to Comparative Animal Physiology, and I really need to be comfortable in a lab environment due to wanting research experience over the holidays, and research through the postgraduate route. But when I'm in a laboratory I'm adamant I will break everything and start a fire.

Now that it's written out, I guess the choice is obvious. oh god I just don't want to make anything in the laboratory explode

Idk if this will influence your decision but without second year lab work you can kiss your hopes of a UROP placement goodbye...if that's something you're wanting to do.

I'd do the one with the labs but on the other hand you said you're not interested in that subject and I always think people should choose stuff they're interested in...what about another lab subject that isn't that one?
