So I'm currently on nothing and it would be great if someone could give me a timeline on how I should start things please ( I'm really really horrible at these stuff- I'm so bad until I barely hand in homework on time so any help with when I should do stuff be great!)
Should I start going through Year 9 science first or go back to year 7 first?
Here's a few suggestions, feel free to use it as food for thought :).
I wouldn't recommend going to back the Year 7 maths book, simply because of time constraints. An idea would be to do the multiple choice chapter review for each chapter, and see which chapters you have no clue about, and which ones you have already aced :). This will save plenty of time, and you won't have to waste it doing stuff you already know. It's alright if you don't know half the stuff in the book, because I was in that situation a few weeks ago - and it's not overly difficult to pick up! :)

For Science just try to cover as many topics as possible, and if you can bring yourself to do it, write three essays on Biology, Physics and Chemistry (Not everyone learns this way though). Lastly, squeeze in any practise tests you can find from the internet. That's pretty much an overview of what I did in the past few weeks, although I did some additional work from the maths book on top.

Week 1 - Maths Chapter Review, Biology
Week 2 - Weak Maths Area 1, Chemistry
Week 3 - Weak Maths Area 2. Physics
Week 4 - Practise Papers, Final Revison

Again, this is simply something similar to what I did, but your learning style may be completely different to mine. But I'm sure you'll do well, you seem like a smart cookie :D

Thanks for all the help! Does anyone have the year 9 maths textbook? Because I don't.
Is it worth to buy a new year 9 textbook for this?
Smart? Not even close LOL

Probably haha, assuming you'll probably need one sometime in the future. I recommend Essentials, because Maths Quest sucks ;).

Btw, I recommend watching this every night before you doze off: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=u7X9jXtwfPc

Ahh okay thanks! Yeah I'll probably get Essentials since the questions are harder from what I heard of!
But again I'm either extremely lazy or I just don't get the time to study :'( I don't even usually do the exercise that the teacher told us to
I just feel like everyday I have so much homework to get done (maybe I don't it's just because of procrastinating and poor time management) and I'm already almost failing my Chinese SACs and I'm putting in some effort in it (like I had to spend around an hour a day because I'm so horrible at it) I don't know I sometimes feel like ugh I can't cope with anything and if I focus too much on trying to study to get in I might fail Chinese (nearly failing already) and I don't know I feel a bit overwhelmed (again might just be really poor time management and a lot of procrastinating going on)

Does anyone know if the maths test is 60 questions in 30 minutes, or something else? Hate answering questions that fast - a slight slip in your working out and you can screw everything up :P

Hannibal,

Yes, the Mathematics test is 60 questions with 30 minutes to complete the entire paper.

One would assume that you require only 30 seconds per question, nonetheless, some questions may take 15 seconds and others 2 minutes. Generally, the amount of time you take depends on the difficulty of the question (usually - correct me if I am wrong here - the last one or two questions on the paper take the longest amount of time).

Best of luck,

rosalie.brown.

Yeah.
Essays: 25 Minutes each.
Maths: 60 Questions 30 Minutes
Numerical Reasoning: 50 Questions 30 Minutes
Science Reasoning: 30 Questions 30 Minutes

Thats from what I have heard, im pretty sure its accurate  ;)

Me too man!  :(
My technique is, when first going over the questions that are easy and then marking a star and guessing the questions that are hard. Them when I finish the easy questions (probs 20/60) I will go to the rest in the remaining minutes!
:D

I've heard of that strategy before, although I feel like I'll be wasting valuable seconds in doing so, which I could be answering questions in. Instead I think that when you come across a question that you are stumped upon or know you cannot answer, use the star method, rather than doing it beforehand. Idk though, might not work for you :P.

I just shade in random bubbles first for the hard ones just incase I don't get any time to go back! And sometimes just to make sure so I don't start shading the wrong bubbles on the wrong question!
Might not work for you though!

I'm not very good with chance, so I have a question about filling in everything at the end. Would it increase your chance to say only fill in a single letter, or to do it by random or a pattern?

Doing one letter for each guessed question would result in at least a few being correct (Unless you do less than like 6), but doing different letters can result in none or more than a few being correct :P. Personally I shade in bubbles that haven't been shaded in that much, like a D if there hasn't been a few of those recently ;). The math behind it though, not entirely sure.

I think I like your idea of focusing on letters that haven't been chosen much before. It might get you a few more marks than the average of 25% you would get from choosing one letter.
