Sleeping After School

Just wondering, does anyone here sleep after they come home from school? Something like a short nap or period of utter relaxation. If you do sleep after school, how does it make you feel? Are you more revitalised, or do you in fact feel more drowsy and less inclined to do work.

Also, what are your opinions...Do you think sleeping after school is a good/bad thing. Would love to hear your thoughts and subsequent discussions.
The GOAL: Attain a RAW study score of 40+ in all my subjects.

Courses I would like to study in order of preference include: Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Biomedicine or Bachelor of Science.

2014: Biology [42]
2015: English Language [??] | Chemistry [??] | Physics [??] | Mathematical Methods (CAS) [??] | Specialist Mathematics [??]

Most of the time I do especially to compensate for an all nighter (if I pulled one) :P

You definitely need a break and believe me, most students that I've spoken to have told me that they slept/took a break from studying for atleast an hour after they got home.
They then commenced studying and studied for 3-4 hours per night (which in my opinion is a bit too much) but it just goes to show the refreshment and energy that it gives you.

Ofcourse, if you feel motivated and energised, take a shorter nap-maybe 10 mins? And then study and reward yourself towards the end of the night.
As a matter of fact, I slept for an hour today and woke up at 7 because I studied for an hour after I came from school and realised I needed a good long break.

Good luck!

I never felt the need to sleep after coming home in school, I don't really know anyone who did either.

These days, to compensate for my early starts and chronic <6 hours sleep, I try to sleep in the bus if I can on the way to/from hospital, otherwise I just move on and get the work done :P

Catch up on sleep during the holidays, you get plenty as it is for someone in school :P

Never slept before night but then again, I have a pretty standard cycle

~Sleep at 11, wake up at 7 :D

+- 30mins both times, but yeah, find a standard timetable that you can stick to and you'll feel SO much better!

It really just depends, sometimes sleep is good (makes me feel refreshed and motivated to do work) but other times it makes me feel sluggish, lazy and unmotivated to do work.

I usually sleep after coming home from an 8-9am class at uni or a very long day

I have no idea how I survived high school by getting up at 6.30am 5 days a week. I stayed at school til around 5.30pm during term 3 and when exams were around the corner since it was really helpful to study without a computer around and some teachers were in their offices when I needed to ask questions. I after the 2 hours of intense study I would go home and reward myself with a nap or masterchef/MKR/games and either study some more or just chill

my routine is probably unhealthy but i usually end up sleeping when i get home from about 5:30-8 then sleep again at around 3 and wake up around 6:45
usually very tired for the first 30 mins of the morning then i am fine but i get sleepy by the end of the day hence i nap and its a revolving cycle
