I'm pretty sure it's just a standardised test on English proficiency for non-native English speakers.

First of all.. welcome to AN  :)

To answer your question... yes, VET subjects do contribute towards your ATAR, however, only as an increment (So as the last 5-6 subjects). <- there are a few exceptions to this [I believe].

Yep, all vet subjects can count towards your atar but to different capacities. For a few subjects , you can get study scores because there are exams (eg . hospitality), so they can contribute to your 'primary 4'. Many other Vet subjects (eg. allied health) though contribute in your atar through increments (the average of your top 4 study scores divided by 10) as they are pass/fail and don't have exams or major assessments.

Hey guys,

Most of the schools (including mine) are beginning Term 2 from tomorrow. Just here to say GOOD LUCK love using colours :p to everyone this term and for the rest of the year, and hopefully you achieve your desired scores.

I have a chemistry SAC tomorrow, so hopefully it all goes according to plan.

Cheers,

You too Syndicate! I hope your chemistry SAC goes well.  :)

I can feel term 2 is going to be a very busy term for all of us with SACs, exams and the GAT but I think the key is to have a calm attitude, making sure it doesn't overwhelm us too much.

That's good to know  :) Before I heard everyone's comments I was quite concerned, but it is highly unlikely that I should miss my end of year exam.

Hey Everyone,

Just checking in to see how the rest of the year level are going this term?

Hopefully you're all going well with your SAC's and feeling ready for mid-year exams.  ;)

Do you mean move from Unit 1 General Mathematics (Further) to Unit 4 Further Mathematics? The answer here is no. For majority (if not all) VCE Units 3+4 subjects, you must complete Unit 3 before you enter Unit 4. Plus you would be severely disadvantaged even if it is allowed, as you would have missed SAC marks from Unit 3.

I hope everyone has had an amazing first semester and keeping up with everything for exams and next semester. :)

I need some advice and help with something, I'm moving into Unit 2 Chemistry next semester (dropping HHD) but the thing is, I haven't touched chemistry since year 9 science so my chemistry knowledge is just about nil. Besides going through the textbook, does any of resources that would be useful for me to get up to speed with my class?
