RIP guys,

Screwed up my psych exam, was stressed out through it even though I was prepared :P
It was really doable as well,

If you have a 3/4 exam just make sure to be relaxed and not stress out like I did! Good luck

Just popping in here~

Feeling like it's an appropriate time to link you guys to a 'sad' moment from my own Year 11 days~

Re: To all the students that were disappointed with their scores (esp Yr 11s)

It happened after I rode a pretty substandard Year 11 and I just freaked out with the impending pressure of exams, resulting in a study score that I was pretty ashamed of.
Without speaking too early, (still haven't sat 60% of my exams yet), it's still quite safe to say that last year's failure was a really big wake up call in terms of what I needed to do and how much effort I needed to spend to get it right. It came immediately, and died down, quite periodic (through about midway term 1 my motivation died), but the work I did over the holidays probably made most, if not all, the difference this year.

For a comparison basis, i went from:
English: B/B+ --> A+
GMA/Spesh 1/2: A --> A+
Methods: barely over 40 raw --> A+
Chemistry: A --> A

Sole regrets probably being not putting enough effort into Chem.

Tl;dr If you're depressed about failing an exam, don't be! It's probably better for you in the long-run :)

You guys still have a whole year left, don't waste the holidays! (while everyone is partying you can well and truly get ahead)

Good luck to those with exams :)

And for those who might have already had their exam(s), try not to worry! I'm sure you did fine but either way it's not worth stressing over. Just wait until your scores are released and see what happens :)

On another note though, does anyone have their booklists for next year? How do you feel about the books for English/lit? Good? Bad? What context will you guys be studying?

Guys I'm freaking about methods! The last exam I did was 2014 and I got a 33/40 and the rest were all 36-40/40.. Is it possible that I just had a bad run or are the recent years actually harder than earlier years of VCAA exam 1s?

Good luck to everyone who is sitting methods, may we all smash these exams today and tomorrow! Love you guys  :-*

MightyBeh, I'm going to have  that saved somewhere, really motivational!

Regarding the methods things; I reckon that they are probably getting (marginally) harder as more study resources come out to try to keep the scores fairly consistent across years. That being said, I performed better in the actual (albeit further maths ::) ) exams than my practice exams pretty significantly, especially for exam 2. I'm sure you'll do fine :)

Hey guys just looking to get some opinions here! My school is running a 5 day camp at Herron island in Queensland next year in term 2. I'll be in year 12 next year and I'm looking to get a pretty good score 90+. Just wondering if it's a good idea to go on this camp, could I Handel the year 13 work load with a week of school. Is it wise to do this or would it put me to s disadvantage??? Please help!  :)
Don't worry about scores that you can't change  because there are so many more productive things you could do

Looking for customisable high school tuition that fits your needs? Or maybe you're just looking for some help with a specific concept that doesn't require frequent tuition. I don't think it'd put you behind. Five days is nearly nothing, especially in term 2. Definitely do it if camps are your thing.  8)

As for raw numbers, 5 days is about ~20 hours of class (well, at my school), which if you're crazy really worried about missing you could make up in one weekend. Not that I recommend that, of course ::)
