Yeah you need to bring both devices for the camp.  I guess since we will be staying there for 3 days, it might be a good idea to bring the chargers for the devices as well.  Unless you have a 3000 hour battery or something ....

We need to bring it for camp? I thought it was just the first day of actual school LOL
Bringing it to camp is a bit inconvenient for me :(

I am 99.99% sure that you have to bring the devices.  I remember reading about it somewhere ( the Handbook? ) that you had to bring both devices as they will be doing some sort of introduction session to do with using the laptops.  Why is it inconvenient, Skinkase?  You are probably going to have a suitcase any way so an extra laptop is not going to make much difference.  Don't tell me you are getting public transport to school that day??  :o

There is also going to be a Bush Dance on the first night ( bring your dancing shoes ) ( save the first dance for me, Chelonianlover  ;) ) and also a talent quest on the second night.  Perhaps we should all get together and do the Atarnote Salute ( put your hand on your head and rub your tummy at the same time ) for the talent quest as a group.  Now who is in for that ...

Aww damn it hahah! I guess I'll have to bring it then! Well it's kinda inconvenient since I'll probably have to bring the charger and stuff like that and you know, sometimes charger are a bit heavy especially if you have like an uncommon one you can't really share it with someone else...Putting laptop in a suitcase also isn't a good idea since you might break it really easily so I'll most likely need an extra bag for those stuff. Ahaha but nahh I'm not getting public transport next year (getting picked up or walk woohoo!)

What is a bush dance? And what do you mean by dancing shoes LOL Do people actually have casual dancing shoes like really? D: LOL that is a bit awkward though....

I am interesting in ISSF ambassador program and then the little scientist big science and I am also interested in chess

Oh that's cool. Getting selected to be an ISSF ambassador is tough (esp they give preferences to JMSS alumni) so you should aim to work hard during your training and impress the teachers.

I did little scientist last year. I quite enjoyed it. It is basically teaching the enrichment science electives on a primary school level. Also you can always slab it into your resume and make it sound more impressive than it actually is cuz most wont know what it is about.

Also you should do evatt/MUN cuz learning about international relations and global development is awesome. (maybe im just biased cuz i love studying politics over science)

Yeah you are right.  Definitely not a good idea to put your laptop in the suitcase.  You are lucky if you are close enough to walk.  It is going to take me HOURS to get to school each day next year.  I reckon it will be between 3-4 hours per day on public transport for me!.

Not sure if I'm lucky or you guys are too unlucky hahah! I live like 4km away from Monash so that's good I guess! I've checked public transport and it will take like 50 minutes by bus and according to google maps it will take me around 55 minutes to walk and less than 20 minutes to cycle!! Oh well so as you can see, I might as well just cycle to school as exercise too and why not! But wow 3-4 hours of public transport everyday is not fun!!

How many people will they select?  Also, it says that you have to kinda 'apply' to that, so do you do that in course counselling?  How likely is it that you ill be selected?  :P

Hi Chelonianlover I will hold you to that!! ;)

I think the idea of the bush dance is that it is progressive ( you change partners during the dance multiple times ) so you get to actually meet everyone.  Anyone they did the bush dance last year but this year might be different.

So AN salute to you all!  Maybe we should do an AN kpop dance or something more interesting than a salute!  Any takers?

Lol, no idea what an AN salute is... but okay, sure, ahaha

ahaha - I was going to mention this before... but it's nice how you write "Chelonianlover", with a capital 'C'... my username doesn't actually have a capital letter... LOL, but thanks :)

TWINNING! Yeah, 3 hrs of transport for me too!! :D :D not a good thing, but... yah... twinning!! LOL
