What's the AN kpop dance? 

LOL - the AN kpop dance, kpoplover (see what i did there, LOL), is the type of dance dimsim wants us all to do with him at the camp - talent show thing... he's also serious about it... other then that ask him LOL? (like what GodlyBuddha suggested)

I love cricket and volleyball but volleyball is a 1 year course so I won't be able to do cricket if I select volleyball

Correct me if I'm wrong - but I think if we're doing the year long ones - we do two year long... so I think you can do both of them - unless you have other choices...

I don't think the school will let you do both.  The whole idea is to try different things so doing 2 sport, imho,probably won't get the school's approval.

True! Ask the school on the course confirmation interview about this. I haven't read if you can't do 2 sports, but dimsim has a very valid point... ooh, look at this too (source: the website + handbook):

There are two restrictions on the selections that you are able to make in Year 10. These are:

If you are doing French or Japanese as a Language other than English (LOTE) you need to complete at least one IT elective;
If you are doing French or Japanese as a Language other than English you cannot choose another LOTE to study in the Co-Curricular Program.
There is a combination of co-curricular electives from which you can choose to participate in during 2015:

1 x 1 year-length option;
1 x 1 semester-length option and 1 x 1 term-length option (note any specific scheduling);
3 x 1 term-length option.

Do you guys think I'll get an exception if I have already chosen Japanese but still want to do another LOTE to study in the co curricular program since I'm doing unit 3/4? Really worried about this....

unit 3/4 of Japanese? I don't think so... but keep your hopes up and ask them!

I don't think there is anything about doing two year long ones in the co- curricular section of the JMSS booklet. But still I hope your are right!

Seriously though I am sure it will be alright.  The people at JMSS really do look after you and they would realise that someone (YOU) did not pick their subjects.  It would not be a big deal for them to fit you in.  Anyway I get the impression that the real action happens at the subject confirmation interview and I don't think they would be doing any admin stuff ( like deciding how many classes of particular subjects and doing the timetables ) till after the interview.

No, I emailed JMSS to change from cells to systems, into bioinformatics... yeah, she told me the timetabler is actually making them now...

But seriously though, I am not sure how the Orientation Camp is going to be organized for 2015.  But in previous years there had been a Bush Dance on the first night and a talent quest for the second night.  While there is not much anyone can do about the Bush Dance ( if you dance like a chicken, I can't help you ), doing a talent quest thing with no preparation is always difficult, so I just thought if circumstances allow ( like they don't assign people to specific group or something ) then perhaps we could organize a group in advance which gives everyone a sort of safety net.  The idea of a kpop dance just popped into my head ( its kind of your fault, kpoplover, coz I probably saw your username and that gave me the idea
