Gotta be careful with ink bleedthrough. FYI, VCAA paper takes fountain pen ink fine. But use a ballpoint for VCAA ID.
In uni this year though, can't be bothered worrying about smudging as much.
Fountain pens end up being more economical (not the expensive pens obviously) because you can refill them yourself rather than buying refill. A 60mL bottle of ink for less than $10 from Officeworks will last a very long time. Not to mention how much better the writing experience is. Much smoother.
