i wasn't, i heard it from a frien. Which is why i asked for conformation ;)

I can confirm that the 3% rule will remain UNCHANGED and will still apply for enrollment at JMSS for 2016.

Don't take my word for it.  See below:

http://www.jmss.vic.edu.au/images/JMSS_Enrolment_Policy_Year10_2016V1.pdf

Page 2 article 1.8 :

1.8 - The maximum number of students admitted into John Monash Science School in Year 10 must not exceed 3% of any one school’s Year 9 enrolment. There is no cap on enrolments from any one school to JMSS at any other year level.

thanks

Nope! But I am probably going on a tour. I heard HEAPS of people go to the open night.

There are 3 parts in the interview :) Group interview, maths question (I don't really get the point of this question since even if you don't get it right, probably doesn't affect your chances of getting in) and an individual interview :)

Do you happen to know what sort of questions they ask?

Test yourself with these questions
What is your biggest weakness?

How would your friends/teachers/parents describe you?

Why John Monash?

Who is your role model?

What do you bring to JMSS?

Why are you interested in science?

What is your biggest achievement?

Hmm I remembered that they ask me for the interview: what was my favourite type of science and scientist, why do you want to get into the school obviously, what are you going to bring to this school and what were your proudest achievements ;)

Also, the info night is today but I'm not sure about the school tours :)

I'm not very sure about attending, but it sounds like there would be some good info presented there.
