I think I've had an incorrect SAC submission, how do I go about amending it?

for some ridiculous reason I have a D+ for Chem GA1 (I don't recall this happening) but it's so different to GA2 and GA3, surely VCAA would have noticed the odd discrepancy?

I'm really scared that my ATAR might go down though if I ask for a correction, is that possible?

is it worth the risk? (I missed my course by 0.6)

You should examine all your exams in case there was a mistake when correcting or incorrect submission of SACs (there was a student in my school in 2013 who scored 99.85 and found a mistake in one of their exams and was bumped to 99.90 and also on AN there was lznxl who had incorrect SAC submissions for Methods if I recall correctly bumping them from 46 to 50).

I guess that's an option, but what would the process be? Would I need to go and examine them with a teacher?

It isn't enough for medicine... You need 99.6+ for that  :-[

this seems more like a humblebrag than actual sorrow, but I'll bite. I know someone last year who got a 95 atar and still got an interview without any SEAS or other disadvantages, though he did get a 96-97 UMAT iirc. a 0.3 difference will hardly matter so long as your umat is solid.

does your cohort's exam results or results in general affect your own study score?

Yes. I got C D+ C+ for Literature and got a 23 study score. It should've been ~27-28 study score but the scaling was so bad I lost that much. There's nothing I can do about it even though its not my fault. The person ahead of me just did not attempt the exam and consequently I suffered.

Granted I could've done a lot better had I actually studied  :'(

yay :D

Hey, does anyone know if Year 11s get a statement of their result in the mail - or do you only get one with your ATAR?

Yeah I got a certificate of results and also one with GAT results for year 11 when I did year 12 legal studies, and then another one at the end of year 12. Takes a few days to come in the mail though?

Also, if you want a 'statement of marks' detailing where you got/lost marks on the exams you'll get a form that you can send back with a small fee. Also you can get a 'statement of study score' detailing how your score was calculated from your results. The forms should come with your certificate in the mail.
