Hi,
I've recently been trying to piece together all the notes I scribbled down during my initial reading of the texts, however, I am stuck on how to set them out. Would you recommend tables under headings of titles or themes?
Also, what is a good way to select a related text? I have a few in mind but I don't know how many I should focus on.
Thank you in advance!
Hey! I personally used tables under themes; I had one column for the quote, one column for the technique, one column for any contextual links I could make, and one column for any other info I wanted (brief description of what it might say about the theme, intention, links to other texts, etc etc)

I think this is the best way to do it, it worked really well for me! While you are reading for the first few times, dot points under the headings work well too. Under theme headings just dot down the technique and quote, and what it says about the theme. Ask yourself;
Could I compare this with my Prescribed Text? Is there overlap?
Related text picking is hard. Chances are you'll get given ideas in class, otherwise these forums are good bet for ideas (see our
essay marking thread to see what other people did for the modules, and there is another for the AoS)

try to hone in on say 2 or 3 really quickly, then spend a week choosing between them. Remember, you can always go back to another ORT if the one you pick doesn't work out; I changed my ORT for Module C between my assessment tasks and my HSC because (after feedback) I thought it worked better with something else
