They really are. I feel like the exams just keep getting harder sadly :( i'll just wait till december 15th to make a final decision. Also what do you guys think I'm actually looking at with those scores. A 36+ish? such a disappointment for my school as well.

I personally think the A+ bands will be lower (imo both exams were so much harder than 2016), so your scores should get you a really high 30, if not a 40. And if it makes you feel better, I’m pretty much in the same shoes as you with the rank and scores

MtDna what were your scores on the further exam? I was told today that I'm super unlikely to get a 45+ with my scores.

At most dropped 2 marks over both papers (1 on MC, and maybe 1 on the SA - I really can’t remember if my answer was the same), so I assume this will give me a high 40

Hmmm I dropped 3 marks overall and I was told it would be super unlikely that i would get 45+... Now would this be true?

Depends if they were all in the one exam - I know a friend who did it last year, aced E2 but lost 5 in E1 and got 41. So if you are in that situation, maybe you could get a 44 or 45, just I doubt it’d be a high 40. However, if your marks were lost over both exams, then maybe you could get up to 47. Also depends on your rank.

Honestly I wouldn’t stress, the exams were pretty challenging so be happy that it’s over, and you will most likely surprise yourself Dec 15 :)

Exam 1 Score was 38/40 and Exam 2 was 59/60
Do you mean 69/80 ? Exam 2 is out of 80.

Last year, a 34/40 + 64/80 was a 40.

Hopefully its lower this year. This years exam is definitely on a higher level than last years. Praying and fingers crossed.

Thank you all for contributing, i feel a bit better about my situation now.

What do you reckon the A+ cut off for exam 2 is?

I know 2013 was 61.5 for Exam 2 which i think is one of the lowest cut offs. Idk if this years was that difficult though.

Lmao, I would've gotten well in to 40s given my exam score when I did it. But this year, I won't even break high 30s hahahahahahahahhahaha hahahahahahahahahah. What a great subject.
