Anyone know what an 84 raw would align to
Or what the B6 cutoff would be?
Depends on the cohort. If we all did terrible than it would be lower. There is no use in trying to guess how well you went, otherwise you might create unhealthy expectations of what you might get, and you could be disappointed by what you receive.

Also does anyone have any advice on potentially resitting the course?? I really don't want to and wanted to get it out of the way sort of thing, but because I won't know my marks for a while I don't know what to do...
I know the advice is probably based on personal preference/what atar you want to get, but a lot of my friends are saying 'if I get below a high band 5 i'll resit' etc. What would be the mark/band you would be happy to take before resitting??

I'd say don't resit it just because of the syllabus change; in hindsight it is likely give you the same outcome. I'm not sure about scaling though? This paper was considerably harder than recent previous papers and so I know that scaling will probably push a lot of peoples' raw marks upwards and I'm pretty sure you'd benefit from that (don't quote me on this though, I'm not 100% how it all works when you do a subject accelerated.)

Just a remark on this - the mathematics (2U/3U/4U) syllabuses are set to stay for one more year, as opposed to everything else.

Yeah... That's what I thought.... Personally if you think you went significantly worse than you are capable of I would talk to the teacher and maybe discuss the options. There is a possibility of waiting until the marks are released however this would set you back a term of study.
If you feel that you really needed to do better than there isn't really harm starting to relearn until results are released.

In the end it is not the be-all and end-all.
So close to the end!!!!

Hey everyone,

Pretty much like everyone else the exam was okay until Q15/16.
I am in year 11 and sat the exam as part of the accelerated course.
Did anyone else do that? Also does anyone have any advice on potentially resitting the course?? I really don't want to and wanted to get it out of the way sort of thing, but because I won't know my marks for a while I don't know what to do...

Hey there!
I did this as well! I'd say it depends on what your thoughts are of the course. Being an accelerant means you've already learnt all the content, and you're essentially doing another year of stuff you already know. Also as an accelerant, your marks are likely higher than most of the cohort, so I think you'll do just fine! I can't say anything about resitting, since this exam isn't going to count to my ATAR (accelerants at my school are expected to continue with 4U and get a band 6 in this course). I think the mark/band that you would be happy with before resitting is really up to you and the ATAR you need to get into the course you want.

Hope this helps :)
