All you need to talk about is how Sydney had a higher slope than Melbourne (do include evidence), because y intercept does not matter, as long as the one with the higher end of slope, it will always eventually beat the one with lower slope.
You probably had to talk about Sydney being higher in 2008 too, because the question said from 2008. The slope alone doesn’t show that Sydney is predicted to be higher, just that it’s predicted to increase faster.

yeah, but I doubt mark will be lost for those who didn't include it, felt like too much info for further. Slope alone should be acceptable (still played it safe).

(judging by all previous vcaa worded answers)

Hmm yeah probably. I ended up writing like 8 to lines for that question to ‘play it safe’ haha.

Hope the examiners don’t get annoyed!

Yeah, I don't get it either, seems like that should be 50 or 48 the lowest

I can relate, my further teacher always ask me why I write long as paragraphs during data analysis when most of the time you only really need write 1-2 sentences.

The only "longest" answer that i seen in VCAA exams was when they talk about if there is an association between two variables and include appropriate statistics. Even that was just stating yes or no and just include medians of the 2 variables
